I didnt ask about other sizes as today I was just looking at 90 scarves.The 90cm are going up to $485, scarf? I wonder about the 140cm!

Wow, when I started buying 90cm 4 years ago, it was $350. It is getting pricey that I've to be really selective !!
H is trying to make up the slowdown in Europe with a higher increase in the US as our economy 'seems' to be recovering at a higher rate than others !! But I doubt how much it would turn customers away !!
Hey there, I have shoes and a sweater on hold, did anyone figure out if prices increase for ready to wear/shoes next Monday/Tuesday? I'll try calling the store this wknd too.
I just texted my SA. I asked her if I should order my boots from her or buy them online to beat the price increase. She has to get them from another store. She told me to order online because she isn't sure when they will come in and she wants to be on the safe side. That leads me to believe that there will be a price increase for shoes shortly but not 100 percent sure.
That is a huge price increase! My first 90cm in 2007 was $320. If the price does go up to $485 my twill buying days are going to be over.

Thanks for letting us know. Yes, my guess is that maybe these prices seem less obscene to people new to the brand. For new buyers, I guess that's just what a scarf costs, period. But for those of us who've been buying for many years, it's a different matter. The percentage increase in prices since I started buying in 2007 seems steep, to say the least, and it does make one think very very hard indeed about what a scarf is really worth. I do love and wear 90s, but I have a hard time imagining what H is going to offer that would compel me to cough up that price + tax in the boutique, unless they're planning to reissue the entire Year of India in the original colorways.
That's insane. A scarf will be over $500 USD after sales tax. I think I'm done if that's the case.
I have to say I agree with the last few posts. From the days I started buying scarves till now, the price of the 90cm has gone up faster than the pace of inflation ... It will take a lot for me to buy a 90cm after the new pricing (esp after taxes are factored in) and I won't buy a scarf unless it is absolutely something I love and more importantly, will wear!
Especially when our dollar is so strong. I would expect that their business in the Euro zone would be even better with tourists coming in due to the low Euro. They are just getting so greedy. I don't think cost of running the business is that much higher. They are not giving the SAs are big raise. In fact, I've heard of multiple complains from SAs in the US that they feel their business is take away by the H.com. There are more wallets available online than the store can get and a lot of customers are walking in to pick up their online orders but not buying anything else.

OMG ! I didn't realize that disparity. So even with 15% GST & VAT in Vancouver, the price is still cheaper than buying the US. But the CSGMs are about the same based on today's exchange rate.

Do you know when the price of silk will go up ? I'm planning a trip to Canada in February so maybe I should shop the 90 silks when I'm there.
