What kind of antique jewellery are you looking for? Lang Antiques has beautiful Art Deco and Edwardian jewellery, but pricey. Alternatively you can check out Christies and Sothebys' auctions.

Thanks - I'm looking for a big(ish) ruby - either ring or pendant. Preferably red tones vs pink. It is for my mum who has ruby wedding anniversary coming up. I'm in Australia, so looking for US/Canadian, Europe/UK online sources (older jewelery!)

Thanks I'll look up Lang xx

Try goldadore in etsy. I bought from her my lovely 1940's diamond bypass platinum ring. I had it in layaway for 6 mos and didnt even use paypal and she sent it to me wonderfully wrapped. She got good reviews and is wonderful to work with. I love the ring so much! It was exactly as described. She got wonderful pieces as well.

I love vintage and antique jewelry. Jewelry years ago are better made than those modern pieces imo. I think i only have one ring from my grandmother that my mom gave to me. Its a pearl ring. My mom said that her mom wears this almost everyday thats why she did the same. I had to trade my LV neverfull for it lol. The pearl already turned a bit yellow in age. The gold was quite thick. The second vintage piece that i have is a diamond bypass platinum ring i got from etsy. Those 2 are the expensive ones in my possesion. I also have a ruby and diamond 9k ring I bought from an antique store. The sales person said its natural ruby but i dony think so. It looks too clean and clear to be real lol. Its a transparent ruby that resembles those man made ones. I hope its real ruby at least though im not 100% sure. I have too a blue sapphire 14k ring. Aside from a chip on top of the stone, the sapphire looks too good to be real. Haha they dd say its real though. I bought the two from the same antique store.
