Not really. I'm sure it varies from bag to bag. My RH (now a PFer's) was super soft buttery leather with wrinkles everywhere both front and back. My new bag has the same soft leather but the back is smoother and the front is wrinkled.

I would give them a call. They only get about 4 of each bags in the bigger sizes...but they can re-shipments, I would check w/ them.
