In the future, please post requests for authentications here following the guidelines in post #1 for the posting format and pictures needed:hi,
I've got a I believe HOBO style bag
serial number UOK-558...
would this be authentic?
everything seems to check out when looking at it...
The fake G0D-7171 also came in bubble gum pink. (*puke*)
This one appears to show style as 7170.

I have a skinny cosmetic case 7170 that has a creed patch but no number. My case has no Coach markings on the exterior. Without a creed, there would be no indication it was made by Coach. I think there might be some relation between a Coach marking on the outside or a creed on the inside.I couldn't read the style number at all. 7170 would be the right number for the Skinny Case, but it still has the sloppy off-center stamping, the barely readable logo, the wrong details on the creed stitching, and of course the wrong color. So it's still kinky as he11. But 7171 seems to be the most common style number on the fakes so far.
And there may NOT be exceptions to the "no creed patch" rule for that style either, check my post 12555 at ATC. I mentioned exceptions here before I took a really close look at that emerald green one
I think the Pink 7170 was stamped with exactly the same stamp that was used in the green one in my post right before this one. The Gs, 7s and 1s look identical, and they apparently used a rotating mechanism just like Coach's because the zero in the pink one is well below the other numbers. And they're both off-center by exactly the same percentage, the left creed borders on both are right on top of the stitching. They were made in the same "plant", probably by the same six-year-olds.
I don't know whether you saw my response on ATCoach.I couldn't read the style number at all. 7170 would be the right number for the Skinny Case, but it still has the sloppy off-center stamping, the barely readable logo, the wrong details on the creed stitching, and of course the wrong color. In post #12561, I posted another of love2shopdotbags listings, also 7171 but with a different prefix and slightly "better" quality creed.

Yikes! This is what the creed in the 2016 Rogue bag looks like. Reveal posted here: http://forum.purseblog.com/coach/fall-preview-bag-rogue-933434.html
I see the differences but I can't see anything else that indicates that it might be fake. And in looking at the listing, she shows the back of the charms and that looks good too. Here are four keychains #92715 pave crystal fruit mix. Are they all authentic? The third one looks a little different to me. At first I was going to observe that the number of links between charms must vary and we can't rely on that to authenticate, but then I noticed that my other 3 examples do match. The shape of the links on #3 is different as well.
Thank you for alleviating my concerns.I see the differences but I can't see anything else that indicates that it might be fake. And in looking at the listing, she shows the back of the charms and that looks good too.
The only differences I'm seeing (and other opinions are welcome are in the placement of the strawberry and possibly the first link through which the watermelon is attached. I don't know if it's the angle or IRL but it looks thinner.
I do believe the fob is authentic.
I see what you mean. It almost appears that rather than rounded edges, there's more of a corner. It could be lighting or it could just be a different chain from a different factory (where made) or different supplier (from whom Coach bought).Thank you for alleviating my concerns.
ETA: I believe the fob in question has one extra link in the chain, 9 as opposed to 8 in all the others. The links seem more square at the edges than the others.
Exactly. Which is why I didn't ask in the AT thread.I see what you mean. It almost appears that rather than rounded edges, there's more of a corner. It could be lighting or it could just be a different chain from a different factory (where made) or different supplier (from whom Coach bought).
ETA: I will say that I've never seen a fake from the seller. She seems to know her stuff.![]()
