Another diamond stud question!

55% table is bang in the middle of the ideal range for table percentage. While you really could not go wrong in this case, the limited info given tells me that they will likely have a slightly higher crown percentage (much like Tiffany tends to go for when selecting their more ideal stones) and they will perform very well in many lighting conditions. 57% still qualifies as ideal but it isn't, IMO, "as ideal".

And to get E/F color in a stud, which is typically overkill IMO, for only 33$ more than the other pair....decent expenditure, esp for icey white peace of mind.

If it was feasable to get both and return the set you weren't fond of, that would be my choice, because then you can decide which you preferred in person.

Normally I would have never looked above a G for studs, but the table % on this pair got me. Really either would be great, but 55% is a magical number lol

The crown angles still sound good. I look forward to pics...

Stupid me did not reserve the stones, so one was still available, but one was gone.
Good news is that I ended up getting an even better stone for a small price difference. I checked the HCA ratings and they were 1.3 and 1.0.

Ended up buying :
Signature Ideal-cut, E-color, SI1-clarity,Total Carat Weight: 0.83

They ended up being a bit larger than I was looking for, and a higher color as well, but for the price difference between these and a .75ct set, it seemed the better way to go, and I found the price to be very good for these upgrades. I can always return them if I find the size too large for me, right?

I am getting them tomorrow and will post.

Thanks to all for helping!!!!
lily and Ame, thanks especially for helping at the last minute for my final decision :ghi5:

Hey Black Jade! Thanks for all of your help:)

Hey, if you can get E color....

That's what I figured! Not looking for this, but why not when it came up? In the big scheme of things these upgrades were a good value I think for these stones. I will wear them every day and was happy with the price. They sure should be white and sparkling!

The rep did advise they would look close to 1ct but I will give them a shot and hope I love them. I cannot wait to see them! :yahoo:

I received the box as soon as I walked into work today, but was too busy to open! The suspense was killing me!!

They really are beautiful, but I am having trouble getting used to the size. My older ones were substantially smaller and not nearly as sparkling, so I think it will take some getting used to.

I took some horrible photos with my phone that do not show at all how pretty they really are.

So...all in all, I think the stones are great, just need to decide if the size is good for me or if I need to go smaller.....
