Oh, Drati I just saw that you said you want to carry your laptop in the bag. In that case, I think a work will be easier, as it's easier to get something as large as a laptop in and out of a bag with the larger opening. It will probably also sit better in the more rectangular shape of the work.

ITA^ Love the brief but I don't think a laptop would fit through the opening (although I haven't tried). However, a laptop would fit perfectly and comfortably in a work.

Helenc, I know what you mean about knocking things, that even happens with my city sometimes! It does make the brief more attractive.

About the laptop, at the moment I don't really have to carry it but I am trying to think ahead. Workwise things might change for me in the next year or so. Laptop will fit in the brief if I slide it in upright, I'm sure.

I'm not really closer to deciding. I'm quite attracted to the brief though and interested to hear everybody's experiences.

I would tend to agree that the work is the better style for a laptop because of its proportions. I'm just wondering how a brief would cope with a laptop on occasion.

By the bottom measurements I mean how long the bag is at the bottom. Sorry for the confusion. But I guess the work's width would make it stick out even more.

Sorry for the confusion! In the horizontal length across the bottom, they are almost the same. However, in the width across the bottom the work is much thicker. I posted some pics to try to show this. See the sapin work is really wide, but the cafe brief is pretty thin from the side. I just popped my laptop into my brief for a test, and it fits easily but doesn't allow much room for anything else. Hope these help.

It might be too large for me, but then I'm tall so perhaps not?

What are the dimensions of the RTT? I can't find it in the reference section. Thanks.

Really helpful, as were your other pictures. Thanks so much for the pics and all the info.

I really like how the brief sits on the shoulder, it looks more streamlined than the work. But is it big enough? I guess there is a bag for every occasion and not one bag will do it all. :girlsigh:

The brief is a lovely bag! i really love mine...i use that everyday!

its a great size and fits comfortable over the shoulder. I dont find a problem with the opening of the bag but if you want to fit a laptop then a work is more ideal! The brief is a bit tight taking it in and out..i tried before to test it out.

I did a search and I couldnt really find modeling pics of the brief. Can you ladies who own a brief pls post pics wearing this style over your shoulder. Also, what are the dimensions of this bag? Is it roomy?
