I got my brief not too long ago, I can't say enough good things about it!! Absolutely love it, its the most chic and comfty shoulder bag that Bals ever made IMO!!!!

I actually never considered the style until I saw someone carrying a black brief with GSH a few months back. I couldn't tear my eyes off the bag. Now I'm getting one (in black, finally). It should arrive in a couple of days:)

I have two and I absolutely love them. I find them really comfortable when sitting on my shoulder and they don't slip off. The size is also fabulous. I can carry a great deal without the bag looking stuffed.

Does the brief have bunny ears?

Does anybody here find the smaller opening of the brief a hassle?

Finally, are the handles of the RH brief bigger than those of a RH work or comparable?

Ok, I can answer a couple of your q's as I have owned a Brief in the past.

Let me start by saying the Brief is one of my fav styles and is the most comfortable to wear IMO.

1) The brief does not have bunny ears

2) I found the opening to be sufficient and found the bag as a whole to be super practical

3) Not sure about the handle comparison... but I know the handles on my Brief were VERY generous!

Hi Drati, are you considering a purchase of the brief? I love this style (I have two). I have attached some pics for you. You can see from the opening of the bag there are no bunny ears. I don't find the opening too small. Quite comfortable actually. I took pics of my cafe brief against my sapin work. The brief is the one with the longer handles -- they are quite a bit longer and over my shoulder the top of the bag sits lower under my armpit. The work sits quite high in my armpit, although I think once the work softens up a lot more, there will be some droop under the handle area that will give more room. Hope the pics help.

Hi Drati! I just got a black Brief and I love it! I had the same concerns about the opening being small but they are completely unfounded. Although the opening is "smaller", it's not small by any means, and I find it very easy to get in and out of. I'm able to wear it over the shoulder comfortably, which I can't do with the Work (though I haven't tried the 08 Work which I hear has longer handles). It's such a wonderful yet practical bag!

Helenc, how does the brief compare to the work, in your view? Do you use them for different purposes?

I'm just mulling over the larger styles, work or brief, for laptop and documents and such.

BTW, I just got an email from AR telling me that the work handles have been longer since F/W 07, they are now the same length as the handles on the brief.

Not to throw yet another choice into the mix, but have you considered the RTT aka The Day After? I was considering a brief and just tried the RTT out at Bal NY and I loved it - it's large enough to use as a work bag and it fit very comfortable on my shoulder.

Drati, I love both styles. I actually use the brief more, though, because it's not quite as long as the work and I find it easier to get about with, especially if I'm shopping and whatnot. With the work I find I sometimes knock things when I turn around as it's that little bit longer and so sticks out more. But maybe I'm just clumsy!

It's good to hear that the newer works have longer handles. Makes them much easier to wear over the shoulder!

Are you closer to deciding what you're going to get?
