I'll repeat it again:
"Amanda Bynes' mother just came out publicly and said her daughter does NOT suffer from Schizophrenia or bipolar disorder -- she says the only problem Amanda had was weed -- but multiple sources tell TMZ ... that's just NOT true.

Amanda's mom says all her her daughter's problems emanated from marijuana, and she is now weed-free, so Amanda is off ALL medications. Lynn Bynes says, "She has no mental illness whatsoever."

I feel bad for her but on top of that, she's a danger to other people as well.

This is going to end with a 5150 put on her again.

Question: That report says she's OFF the anti-psychotic drugs but weren't there reports she wasn't on any while under her parents watch?

Edit: nvm. Just saw your post above this Swanky. Her parents can't see the forest for the trees.

There's no need to repeat it - that's two sentences from a gossip site. Unless you have intimate knowledge or know them personally, no one can say with any amount of certainty what went on and what's going on. You don't know that "Amanda didn't choose that, apparently she taken them w/o trouble until her mom decided she's fine - there had not been a need to "force feed" them." That's not mentioned anywhere in the articles you posted - you're assuming that was Amanda was just fine taking her meds and was perfectly happy when her mother was in charge based on a TMZ article. That's a lot of blame to place and assumptions to be made based on one article on the TMZ website!

I never saw a face to face interview with Amanda's mother, her father or Amanda herself. I never saw a tell all book or an article written from any of their points of view. All articles and quotes and stories were based on "sources" - no one knows what went on.

As a parent, I'm in no position to cast stones on another parent - I'm in no position to judge another parents choices when it comes to their children - especially when the "child" in question is a legal adult. I wouldn't want other people making assumptions about me and my parenting choices based on the actions of my now ADULT CHILDREN. We're not talking about Kim Kardashian and her one year old baby daughter her - we're talking about a mother and her 28 year old daughter!

Poor Swanky. I understand what you are saying and agree. The court decided that she was best placed in the care of her parents, who subsequently decided to go against the doctors' diagnosis and prescription.

The court did not put her in her parents care - they made her mother a conservator, which means she was legally responsible for her financial affairs. They didn't take away Amanda's rights or put anyone else in charge of her healthcare or life decisions. Her mother couldn't force her to take medication any more than she could withhold it if she wanted it! You guys are all acting like Amanda is a child or someone who's been found mentally unfit or incapable of making decisions on their own and that was NEVER the case (except for the initial hold). Is it sad? Yes. Is it a shame? Yes. But this is no different from the thousands of other mentally ill patients who refuse medical treatment and/or medications and the people who love them.

Amanda Bynes arrested on suspicion of DUI after doing well for a year

http://touch.latimes.com/#section/-1/article/p2p-81539794/

Oh, Amanda Bynes seemed to be doing so well — but now the actress-turned-design student has been arrested again on suspicion of DUI.

Bynes was arrested by the CHP before dawn on Sunday in Sherman Oaks, where she stopped her Mercedes in the middle of an intersection after the light turned red, L.A. Now reported.

She was suspected of being under the influence of drugs, police told L.A. Now, and her blood was drawn before she was released from custody shortly before 1 p.m. Sunday. However, authorities won't know what kind of drugs she might have been using until toxicology tests come back.

A drug-recognition officer at the Van Nuys determined Bynes was under the influence of a stimulant, TMZ reported.

Bynes is serving three years' probation after pleading no contest in February to a charge of "wet reckless" driving related to her April 2012 arrest in West Hollywood after she clipped a police cruiser when she tried to pass it around 3 a.m. This arrest could jeopardize that probation.

In August 2013, Bynes' mom, Lynn, was granted a one-year temporary conservatorship over Amanda regarding her medical and financial decisions. The 28-year-old student was living with her parents after after nearly six months of in-patient treatment.

Before that, months of erratic behavior were capped when she set a fire in a residential driveway in Thousand Oaks. At that point she was put on a 72-hour psych hold that turned into the lengthier treatment.

She's due back in court Oct. 23.
