Alma BB in Vernis Indian Rose or Epi Fucsia?

hi! I wear it with everything lol. And i'm not a girly girl at all but i love the deep pink patent leather, i have the indian rose pochette also, when i was picking out which one i wanted i had 5 colors infront of me and i was tring to love the pomme or the black but i couldnt stop looking at the rose indian i wear it to work (i'm a hairdresser so black pants a pretty shirt),but i just wore it yesterday with yoga pants and a juicy zip up to target. I had on blue jeans a cotton shirt and uggs the other day with it. I truly think you can wear it with whatever you want. Like with anything, if you hold yourself with confidence you can do and wear whatever you want;). If that's to one you love definetly go for it, it's gotta be that gut feeling and you'll have no regrets;)

On the contrary, the SA who helped me when I bought my Alma told me Vernis is more care free than Epi. I don't have an Epi piece myself, so I am not too sure. She did say the Epi actually got scratched more easily, once the colour is scratched off, it became white. With Vernis, if it's scratched, you can always buffer it up. This is what I was told by a Louis Vuitton repair specialist from my store in my city.

I do not doubt this but from personal experience I get water spots on the vernis that can be a pain and I feel the need to wipe it quickly if I get caught in the rain, it scuffs and also transfers color easier. Again, just personal experience. I have no huge scratches on the vernis pieces or epi pieces though but the epi doesn't spot after the rain like the vernis does and I've never had scuffs on it like I have on vernis items.

Hi there, can you post some pictures of water spots? I have heard ppl said they got water spots from the rain. But I've never seen any in the pictures. Thanks in advance!

They don't last because I wipe ASAP so they do not stay. I have always been scared if I leave them that they would damage the bag. Thank goodness for the polishing cloths. My Amarante and Indian Rose pieces are more prone to it than say my Bleu Lagoon pieces. I think my Alma Gm is the most prone because I can't shield as much of it with my body when it is wet outside.

I heard something similar re: scratches, and was warned about color transfer on vernis, including from jeans. Did anyone experience jeans color transfer with the indian rose?

I own a fuchsia epi ZCP that has help up well, however, there is a small blue/black mark on it, probably from pen ink. I just noticed the other day. So, I suppose neither material is immune.

I've seen pics of both vernis and epi bags that have been abused/scratched/stained but others that have been around for 10+ years that are beautiful and almost look perfect. It really is just after of how you use/care for your pieces.

With the Alma bb though, you just have to go with the color/leather that appeals to you the most. When you look at each, which one makes you smile more? Get that one!

Why do you say this? Did something happen to your Vernis? Are you regretting your purchase?

I still love it but I have an obsession with the Alma. If had to chose either or for a bag I would use a lot, the epi would be my choice as a more useful and worry free bag. I have used my Epi Neverfull Indigo twice as much as my BB's in any color. I am hopefully getting another Epi Neverfull in the next few days. I have used my bb's more than 3x each.

I will say the Indian Rose is a prettier pink though.

This is very true. I'm OCD about damage and transfer potentially happening. So that limits what I carry based on where I'm going and what I am doing.

Vernis!!! I had an Epi Alma in Fuchsia and returned it. I feel the Vernis is just so much more prettier. The Epi color looked to flat. I think both are very durable. I own a 4 key holder in Vernis that has been through everything and it looks like new. Get the Vernis!!!
