View attachment 4573520 hard to explain, but if you try your bracelet in both directions, I think you will see what I mean. Picture has one wrapped in each direction.

Hi golconda, I was trying to find a way to secure a long chaine d'ancre and came across your post. I got a little confused and would appreciate a bit of guidance on how you managed to secure the link through one way that looks literally the same to me as the other way - sorry if this question may seem dumb... Thank you : )

Hello casamia, not golcanda here, but wondering if you saw the post previous to the one you quoted. See link below.

I think it's suggesting that the bracelet can be wrapped around the wrist in either of two different directions, one of which puts the toggle more in tension against the loop when worn. More tension perhaps prevents the toggle from slipping out.

Thank you so much for your reply, and thanks for flagging the post to me. I read the post again. I was wondering, if the bracelet is long, either way would not help make it shorter (thus resulting in more tension) I guess, or am I missing anything? : )

Thanks again for sharing your thoughts : )

Ah, so sorry, I didn't realize you were noting your bracelet is too long. In that case not sure wrapping one way versus the other would make enough of a difference. If really too big maybe best to have links removed to give you a better fit? Wish I could give more help from experience, but I've yet to buy one (was undecided on link size I preferred). Best wishes finding a solution! :flowers:

I think that if the bracelet is a bit long, it does risk coming undone. I have a GM that came undone twice ( 13 links), I had Hermès take out one link and it's never happened again.

This is the Tiffany bracelet I nearly lost when the toggle came undone. I use a tiny sterling silver safety pin for more security where the toggle and ring connect. It’s not as obvious looking when it’s not enlarged like this photo, and it gives me peace of mind. ;)

I just got back from the supermarket. I took off my jacket, and saw that the toggle came out of the ring on my bracelet. Thank goodness I had the safety clasp/pin!

Dear all,
I have a question for all the Chaîne d'Ancre lovers: do you happen to know if Hermes ever released the TPM size of the Chaîne d'ancre collier?
I know the bracelet exists in the TPM size but never saw the same measure for the collier...
TYA!
