Hi all...

I'm going to buy my first designer bag...would like to ask for yr opinion, between Balenciaga velo/town, PS1 and alexander wang, which one should I go for for my first designer handbag? I've been borrowing mom's collection.. She has a decent balenciaga city collection, mulberry alexas and of course staples like LVs n chanels. So pls help, I reallly dont know what to get. Btw, I'm 27 and back in college for my second degree.. my style is relaxed, and casual. when I go formal i will be wearing something contemporary.

get the rocco duffle obviously! lol, best bang for your buck. i've read that both the ps1 and balenciaga have quality control issues, (the balenciaga with color fading and too delicate leather; the ps1 with screws falling out and poor customer service) so i wouldnt spend my pennies on those. i have a rocco duffle and it always gets a lot of attention :)

I got these three designers' bag. I would say AW is the everyday bag. Leather is thick and not easily scratched.

Balenciaga is a total hit bag but leather is thin and I don't like the longer strap cause when I wear the bag on shoulder using the strap, the bag will be in a weird shape. And everyone is like using bal bag nowadays.

I hv PS1 midnight medium. A super gorgy bag. Love it so much. But the leather is easily scratched with marks. So I don't wanna use it as an everyday bag. I won't put lots of stuff in it cause I'm afraid of it breaking.

So AW is roomy and practical. Just depends on how you would like to use your bag. :)

Agree. And budget-wise, AW rocco is worth it.

Do NOT get the Rocco as a school bag or a laptop bag. It is WAY too heavy on it's own to function in those ways. I nearly broke my back after one day with a heavy wallet/makeup bag/iPad 2 inside. In addition, you can get an iPad in, but, you would destroy the shape of the bag trying to cram a MBP inside.

Its hard to get A4 size things in and out of rocco but it is possible.

I'd say that a macbook pro would fit but it would be a struggle to get it in and out - you'd probably scratch the mac book on the zipper.

Rocco's leather is very durable so it would hold up well but any bag that is used everyday and for carrying heavy stuff is going to get destroyed. I carried a bal motorcycle bag at uni and it ended up completely trashed after two years. But it did the job really well.

Rocco is a very heavy bag and the weight pulls at the bottom. When I carry it for a few hours I get an ache in my arm or my neck.

If you put a mac book in there as well as wallet, keys, phone, etc. you probably wouldn't be able to carry it for very long at all.

I think AW has some other bags that would make better uni bags.

Lots of people like longchamp le pliage for uni because they are light.

Tiare, do you know the weight of a rocco?
I'm thining of buying one, but if it's too heavy...
