Like many ladies here, I have wanted a Rocco for years, but finally decided to bite the bullet (no pun intended). It just arrived today, my iodine rocco. I love it! I am a Balenciaga girl first and foremost, but I really love the rocco. The leather is durable and heavy. I have never seen one in person until mine arrived today. The studs seem to be of good quality. The edges are coated, as has been mentioned here, which should prevent the problems people were having with the leather peeling off the piping. The color is definitely plum, not burgundy. My pics were taken without flash, which showed the truest to its color. It is heavy, but I think it's about the same weight as a Bal part-time with giant hardware. I don't mind the weight. The leather smells heavenly. The leather is wonderfully pebbled, and the color is consistent on all parts of the bag (the pics make it look like it's not in some of the shots). I feel like the bag is of very good quality and definitely worth the money.

One thing I noticed right away that I do NOT like is that the bag doesn't open wide enough. A Bal city has the zippers that extend beyond the bag, so the bag opens wide, but this one doesn't. It's no big deal, it's just something I noticed. Many thanks to all the ladies who posted their pics and knowledge here, you helped me to make a good decision. ;)

Great pics, you captured the iodine color well! I'm a Bal girl also & totally understand your issue with the opening, I'm starting to get used to blindly digging around for things...

Hi can someone help me with this. The strap is adjustable right? But the hole is kinda small for the stud to be removed so that I can shorten with another hole. Do I just force the stud out of the hole? Thanks in advance!!

I ordered the taupe rocco with smooth leather from the outnet.....total impulse but it was such a good price I couldn't pass it up. I love my pebbly rocco and diego so I'm not sure how I'll feel about this smooth one but I figured for an everyday bag it might be lighter and the price was so good so why not.
Does anyone have any mod pics of a smooth Rocco? Or have seen it in person? All the stock photos I've seen make it look so cheap but I'm hoping it looks better in real life!

You might really have to force it out. It was really hard for me too (I had to get my boyfriend to take it out for me lol!). Now I just leave it. Way too hard to force it. :(

I received my Soft Pebbled Rocco from Shopbop last week. I really like the bag but am concerned with the tarnished zipper pull. Has anyone else had a problem with this bag? I am wondering if I should send it back and try again later. :thinkin:

That's going to happen its only a zipper. This happens from lotions and perfumes rubbing on the zipper.

Lizz: I just got a black/rose gold Rocco.
3rd time I have ordered then returned. I too am a Balenciaga girl so the weight of Rocco and the smaller zip top opening had made me return them.

However, I decided to keep this last order and give the Rocco a shot. I really like the bag and the style. I have AW Donna and fumo wallet that I love.

Here's my new Rocco with Balenciaga Havana jacket.

Just received my iodine Rocco from the AW sale and I love it. Since it was a remaining popular iodine that sold out soon after, I was expecting light pebbles and that's what I got. But it is uniform, which is a bigger consideration for me (sometimes the super pebbled looks like brain to me, LOL. :) ).

Anyway, there have been beautiful reveals of the iodine already, but if anyone is interested I can post an in action shot tomorrow. :)

I'd love to see it! I'm should have jumped at the opportunity to get the Iodine Rockie on sale on AW.com .. I thought I had more time to think about it :(

Cool. Will do then.

I know the general wisdom for light Roccos is to condition, the leather being a little drier and stiffer than the black. Has anyone conditioned their iodine? I'm going to Vectra spray it at the very least. TIA. :)

Just posted in the sep/oct/nov reveal thread, too, but here's my new (and very first!) AW - the Rocco in Cayenne. I'm a Minkette, but so many of my fellow Minkettes are AW lovers, too, that I had to give Rocco a try!

Here are pics. I did a quick unpack here at the office, so won't get to fully play with him till I get home tonight. The color is incredible - I love this red!! And I love it with the black nickel hardware - such a cool combination.

I'm pretty happy with the pebbling, given I bought it sight unseen from AW.com. My only disappointment is with the one side panel where there's a smooth spot next to a deeply pebbled spot. I can't decide if that bugs me a lot or not - it kind of does, but also is kind of a special, unique marking just for my Rocco.

Can't wait to get home, load him up, and try him out...hoping the weight doesn't kill me! :p
