Rebecca Minkoff sews her straps like that too. I find that weird to sew a strap in the middle but I have never had a problem no matter how much stuff I carry so there must be something to it.

I don't know a lot about AW bags, but I think it looks great. Having the middle panel really pebbly against the smoother parts makes it stand out nicely, really highlights the pebbles. Hope you enjoy!
