Ugh, Zola, you had to go there? First you give us the yummy plaid then the f-k awful sweatshirt (and what the worst thing is about those pics is that it is clear he wore it more than once)? And then the Kurt Cobain years. Oh Skars.

I look at it this way-he really, really liked the sweatshirt. And, being Mr. Limited Wardrobe, it was probably the only one he had. And while he still has a limited wardrobe, at least now it's a better quality one.

CK encounter was released a few days ago and i went to one of our department stores (Myer) and there is a HUGE poster of Alex for CK :faint: I was just standing and staring at the poster for ages. :drool:

I was also given a sample. Its very nice (i suck at describing perfumes) to me its more of a winter scent its a bit spicy but i may buy it for Christmas there is a gift with purchase as well.

I know is a male perfume but when i sprayed it on myself i liked it.

ps. i asked if i can take the poster home, they said thats what everyone has been asking them

As for the poster, they didn't say no, though, did they? Because if they didn't actually say no, I'm sure they won't mind if you take it now. :smile1:

It's always hard to gauge the popularity of Alex outside of the fandom...so this might be a good indicator. ;) Myer is mid-range for those not knowing Australian department stores. They have lots of fragrance counters etc.. No chance of me buying that for my hubs. He wears two fragrances and that's it: Gucci Rush for Men which has been discontinued and can only be sourced on Ebay at ridiculous prices (it is the best smell ever)and Beckham Signature for Him fragrance.

In other Alex-related news, a rumoured ex-flame of his tied the knot: Evan Rachel Wood married Jamie Bell. http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20643957,00.html

I wasn't around when he was allegedly dating ERW but I really like her as an actress, and not just on True Blood.

I was really lucky. When I asked about the poster, I was given a smaller one they hadn't put up.

I guess he is back in L.A. because of promotion.

The American Film Market started yesterday in Santa Monica, California, with Korean and Chinese-based companies making up almost a third of the buying companies at the market.

More than 750 companies from 70 countries will send over 1,500 representatives to the market, which will see eight days of deal-making on films at every stage of development and production, from 31 October to 7 November, 2012.

The market will screen 442 motion pictures, including 82 world premieres and 327 market premieres for buyers. The 120 new buying companies attending represents a 10 per cent increase in recent years.

Korea and China represent almost a third of all the buying companies at the AFM. Korea have 25 companies in attendance, while China has 13. The United States, in comparison, have 11, while Japan and Turkey have six each. Russia have five, while France and Italy are in attendance with four companies each.

AFM Managing Director Jonathan Wolf said: “We are seeing a shift in the way sub distributors acquire film as they steadily rely less on local distributors and more on direct acquisitions. We also expect a significant increase in buyers from China.”

A vast array of talent is expected to attend the market, with premieres of films featuring the works of, among others, Annette Bening, Helena Bonham Carter, Chow Yun-Fat, Jennifer Connelly, Roman Coppola, Elle Fanning, James Franco, Christina Hendricks, Dustin Hoffman, Kate Hudson, Julianne Moore, Bill Murray, Gwyneth Paltrow, Mark Ruffalo, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Alexander Skarsgård, Juno Temple, Kristen Wiig and Elijah Wood.

The Swedish film producer Fredrik Malmberg has got Schwarzenegger to his new "Conan" movie.

The next step is to get some Swedish actors in this context.

- Very possible we will try to get the northerners. It is too early to engage them in the project, but we've got Joel Kinnaman , Alexander Skarsgård and Alicia Vikander in Sweden, says Malmberg Nöjesbladet.

Behind the last 'Conan'
He calls the new Conan project for a "boyhood dream" because Schwarzenegger is with. His company Paradox behind "Conan the Barbarian" from 2011. But it went bad in the cinema.

- There are major differences between this and the previous "Conan" movie. We have a higher budget and work with great company Universal. The Arnold returns is a major movie event, says Malmberg.
"Did the story"

"Legend of Conan 'is, according to Malmberg, the story of an aged Conan coming back to the battlefield.

- It is not easy to get with Schwarzenegger. But he thought about the ideas and the story says Malmberg.
