That storm looks massive. I hope nobody on here is in it's direct path? Of course, my best wishes for those friends and families that are on the east coast.

:roflmfao:

Great work, Free!

"Skid Row" from The Little Shop of Horrors is my "hanging out the washing"-song. ..

Mik lives in Virginia, though where in Virginia I don't know. She probably won't suffer a true direct hit-the eyewall passing over-but Virginia's going to be suffering a lot of a damage.

"Why don't you stay for the night....or maybe - a bite?

Happy Halloween Ladies, I thought I'd get in early in case some of you go offline during the big storm.

(My edit using sources here and here)

FreeSpirit, this is perfection.:smile1:

And I was mindf*cked to find out that the same man who played that snooty hotel person on Home Alone 2 is the same person who portrayed the fabulous Dr. Frank n Furter. Talented.:smile1:

Tonight was Hammabys last home match of this season. Some of my friends were there. One texted me, that it was "drömväder!" = dreamy weather (which means rainy and cold);) but everyone was in a huge party mood, singing, dancing, cheering for Bajen way more than usual. Now there are off to party around town :smile1:
So, if Alex was there too, I hope we'll see some pics later tonight ;)

Oh, it was Hammaby - Trelleborg 0:0; Bajen dominated the match but Trelleborgs defense did their job quite well.

off topic: to all of you out there at/around US east coast - take care and stay safe!

He also played a Soviet naval officer in The Hunt for Red October. And for some reason it's this role, and not anything else that I've seen him in, that I mentally imagine him dressing in fishnet stockings. My mind's a little ... odd.

Pity they didn't win, but then they didn't lose either.

For some bizarre reason it reminds me of this scene from GK:

"Cpt. Bryan Patterson: Eleven thousand pounds of ordinance dropped and we didn’t hit any armor. We didn’t destroy any villages though either. Guess that sort of goes in the win column, right?"

Watching the storm live. Hope everyone is taking precautions and staying safe:

Oh...by the way, in case anyone didn't realise, the Spike TV Scream awards have been cancelled for 2012.

Skars in a remake of Grease, hmmm

Safe indeed - hopefully still have power!

Free, wondered about Scream, had not heard a peep, thanks for the update.

Skars is good at laying low....

No sightings at the Hammarby match? He's really laying low.
He is indeed. Bummer about Scream, eh? I love those awards.

Just watching..fatalities already from Sandy. Jeez. Putting good thoughts out there.

No reason given for the Scream awards cancellation, which seems odd. It seemed to be doing well.

Sandy'd already produced fatalities in the Caribbean, sadly we'll probably have quite a few here in the States.

I'm over 600 miles to the east of where she just made landfall and our winds are picking up, supposed to have sustained winds of around 40-50 miles an hour for most of tomorrow. Per my friends on the coast and DC, it's getting very bad there.

Yep, I realise that. apologies, did not mean to discount the Caribbean death toll, by any means. I've seen a lot of people saying the winds aren't that bad etc..not realising it's the influx of water and the sustained effect of the storm sitting in one large area for a few days that will do the damage. Anyhow..hoping it loses it's power quickly.

Mentioned that because I'm aware that the US tends to suck in media coverage in terms of disasters and didn't want the other victims overlooked.

Need new skarspics to take my mind off what's happening on the East Coast.

I'm form the Caribbean and actually at least we are very accustom to hurricanes every year so we are very prepare but in that old saying man plan while gods laugh; we can prepare so much in Haiti and Cuba it did a lot of damage if I'm not mistake it has claimed 50 lives. Do hope that in the USA people are very aware of this force of Sandy since she is a hybrid. They predict that the damages will be a $1 billion in damage.

Hope that everything will be fine and no more lives will be taken.

Hello I haven't been on here for a long while. Just been poking around bored waiting for the storm to stop. I live in southern NJ about 30 miles inland from Atlantic City. We have had really strong winds here all day. But our coastline where we go for summer vacations has been hit hard.

My thoughts go out to those affected by "Sandy". I hope you are all safe wherever you are.

My relatives in Virginia had their power cut off before the storm hit. I hope things are better for Mik. And for you, of course! *hugs*

"The Hunt for Red October" also stars Stellan Skarsgård as the captain of one of the Russian submarines.
