Part of me admires the fact that he's mentioned that he's bought a house and what town it's in without out seeming to worry about any possible stalking. And part of me thinks that wasn't the smartest thing to do (at least mentioning the location).

ETA: I wonder if he understands that once he mentioned the month and location, and then type of house, that it wouldn't take long for people knowing what they're looking for to figure out which one is probably his, even if it's not under his name.

Swedish AND Hammarby flag! I can do that! :smile1:

The part about that the house is not bought under his name is normal. Rich and famous people do that regularly. They establish those trusts to purchase real estate. I've read an article on this a few years ago about the Venice Beach area but I can't tell you the reason why they're doing it like this (can't remember). I guess it's really just privacy issues. Everyone's doing it, Brangelina, Aniston and Co.
The house is very ... spacious. I guess tall people need lots of room. :p
From the architectural view the house is a wet dream but if I'd buy real estate in LA I'd looking for a different style. But hey I'm not Scandinavian. Best part about the house is the view. That must be nice to wake up to every morning.

That's a lovely house to look at, but the lazy housewife in me gives the huge windows a massive side-eye. ;)
I read the realestalker-blog regularly and compared to other gossipy sites, Your Mama seems to really be in the know when it comes to real estate dealings.

So you're saying that if I get to go out to LA next spring to visit my sister and we go to Griffith Park (north Los Feliz) I shouldn't have her wander 'aimlessly' around looking for the house?

Kidding, by the way. Can't imagine wandering around LF looking for his house. Now, if we were driving around and I saw him jogging, then my getting out of the car and throwing myself on him would be perfectly acceptable, correct? :graucho:

same here and I'm sure, it won't take that long and the address will be seen around the fan pages - followed by the excuse that all addresses of his family in Sweden are knowen too. :nono:

absolutely! but only if you'll be bare naked just wrapped in a swedish flag ;)

:roflmfao:

Oh, I love you girls! I'm having a really crappy time at the moment, but that made me laugh so hard. :D

:hrmm:Well I can say that the house reflects him: Seemingly unassuming, modest, but man, I have a feeling...........

Exactly.

If I have learned anything from this man's fandom, it's that there are some crazy azz mofo sleuths out there and all they need is this little information......

So true...

Good Lord!!! he sounds so sexy speaking Italiano.

The house looks very nice, but i never get how people know when a celebrity buys a house, its such a random thing to know and to find out.

Happy Birthday Mr Free!!!

IM HOME!!!! It feels weird to study...and tumblr all night long

Can anyone give me some recs for movies/books to watch and read over the summer. I haven't seen anything new. Im easy as long as its not a horror/thriller/scary/heavy political type movie

Oh, I know that. And if you're really rich famous and powerful you can apparently get the address taken out of the public records, as apparently Schwarzenegger did years ago.

Not enough land for me, but it's not really a bad house. But no, not what I'd build/buy in LA.

Yeah, he does. Maybe TB can find some reason for him to have a few lines in Italian for next season.

50 Shades? (runs away)

Enjoy your break!

I'm thinking she's a former high-end realtor for LA and that's why she knows and has the access to certain things. And given that it seems she has at least 2 houses in the LA area I'm sure she has certain contacts among the 1%.

I saw a movie last night which was really great but I don't know if you'll like it. Did you like Melancholia? Because this one is really dark and depressive but the leading actor is really talented and actually good looking with dark hair (Squirrel will know who I mean since we talked about him at the beginning of this year during the Berlinale). The movie is called Suicide Room and is Polish with English subs. The lead character is played by Bill's new BFF (:p) Jakub Gierszal. I'm getting into his work because they're screening his new movie at my city's film festival and there's a slight chance he might attend. I actually hoped they'd screen Gustaf's The Big Leap but apparently they're still shooting it.

I'm always astound how other countries deal with their privacy policies (yes I'm looking at you Sweden). Those homeowner records aren't public here. You have to pay to get these infos here and you have to have an important reason why you want to see it.

I'm fine with the amount of land around this house. Having lived in a house with massive land around it I'm glad I don't need to walk kilometers to reach my house anymore. The other thing is the gardening which I'm not fond of. All the sprinkling you have to do. I spent hours outside just doing that. You have to take care of all of this which means you need time (or money like Alex who probably just employs a gardener).

For this house I would have another 1/4 quarter acre, just enough more for some native landscaping/outdoorsy stuff. Admittedly, most of it would be pretty vertical, but you can still do stuff with it.
I like a decent amount of land, I'm not really into being that physically close to my neighbors. And, I like to garden.

Syd (and anyone else looking for a great movie) I went out with hubs last night for his birthday and we also saw one of the best movies, a French gem called The Intouchables....I can't recommend it highly enough. Amazing movie. It's really touching, but also a comedy.

Girl, you go on with your bad self :D. I think driving around naked save for a flag might be overdoing it though. :coolio: ;)

BC inspired me - i was too caught up in thinking about how to wrap a flag around myself, climb up his trees and not manage to fall off Skars' balcony into the ravine. Sometimes, I swear the cleaning I do doesn't stick.
