Syd (and anyone else looking for a great movie) I went out with hubs last night for his birthday and we also saw one of the best movies, a French gem called The Intouchables....I can't recommend it highly enough. Amazing movie. It's really touching, but also a comedy.

Now I know what you mean. I had to google the title because it's different here but yeah my mom was delighted with this movie. It's a huge hit here in Europe. I believe it was last month when I saw pics of the Swedish premiere of this movie and wondered why they got to see it now because my mom already saw it in Spring I believe. And one of the actors, François Cluzet, is also in another great movie called Little White Lies directed by Guillaume Canet and includes actors like Marion Cotillard and Jean Dujardin. A great movie which is also a comedy with sad moments.

^^lawd, no!

But am I the only one who worries about his drunk friends toppling off the drop-off on that wraparound deck? Safety first! ;)

Don't you think they get ropes around the waist like climbers do and hook up to the handrail as soon as they step out? :p

Free, great shot of the one and only squirrel!:D

Oh, hang on, I think the company has some safety nets in storage that have probably been tested on drunken Swedes. I wonder about the legal rights to every person that might get caught in one of those... :thinkin:

Squirrel arrives successfully and safely to stake her claim against the other furry denizens of the area:

:roflmfao:

Thank you sharknbark - love your name, hate the thought of Alex and Sharks if you ever read this thread *shudder*...

BTW, I see the ever-popular Daily Mail has now posted the story on Alex's home purchase, complete with all the photos. No new details, but sort of confirming indeed that is his house.

It basically seems to be a cleaned up version of the real estalker post combined with the Celebuzz article. Why bother having 'writers'?

"Celebrities and the wealthy find ways to keep home sales secret
Among other tactics, the well-to-do use word-of-mouth 'pocket listings' or buy and sell property in the name of a trust in the pursuit of privacy.
By Lauren Beale, Los Angeles Times
...
Beyond pocket listings, a traditional way for well-heeled property owners to shield their identities is to buy real estate in the name of a trust.

"I sympathize for the agents who have signed a confidentiality [agreement], but it's a double-edged sword," Ives said. "Now that everything is all over the Internet, it's really public information."

Maybe he can put a moat at the front entrance to keep out stalkers?

Thanks for the Om Sara Askars pics AB Negative . "Om Sara" is still one of my favorite Askar's movies. It's the first one I bought :smile1:

Mine's too.:smile1:And it wasn't even entirely because of pretty faced Skars, it was just one of those films I just so happen to like.

WOW! What a slow Askars news week! Glad I didn't miss much.

IKR? Ain't nothing happening right now, which is a good and bad thing for me.

"Om Sara" and "Hundtricket" are two of my favorite Askar's movies. I totally agree with you. "Om Sara" would have been excellent even if The Viking God Supreme wasn't in it.

It being a slow Askar's news day is also a good and bad thing for me especially since I just got back from a conference on Autism and have a report to finish from it. :graucho:

While I miss a regular dose of pretty pics, I think it's a good thing for him mentally to be home and not have to worry about being papped. Aside from the occasional fan pic/tweet he seems to be able to go about doing whatever it is that he's doing without being bothered.

Ah, so you'll be forced to 'work'? :smile1:

Are you still on the East Coast? Any preparations for the possible arrival of Frankenstorm?

Sandy looks pretty nasty...take care tPF'ers in it's path. The 'Frankenstorm' looks huge! I have family in New Jersey where it's going to make land. Good vibes to all from moi'. Be careful Mik and everyone else.

I totally agree. I love that Askars is able to disappear from the marauding crowd and be with his family and friends :smile1:.

Yeah, we have to write reports from the conferences we attend and then give a presentation to our co-workers. The conference I attended was on Autism and I'm really familiar with it (several of my Clients have Autism) so writing the report won't be difficult :smile1:.

Yes, I'm here in Virginia. My friends and I are having a "Frankenstein Party" (and a "Who Has the Best Frankenstein Costume?" contest) to wait out the impending Frankenstorm. Now here's the trippy part. I've got my Mom coming to our party (want to make sure she's safe) and she is actually going to dress in a Frankenstein costume!! I'M SO FREAKIN' EXCITED!! :woot::yahoo::yahoo:

Thanks Free :hugs:. I've got a niece and her husband in New York so I've got major concerns for them being there when Frankenstorm hits :shucks:. I will keep your family in my prayers as well.

Be safe fellow tPF'ers on the East coast and everywhere. This storm looks like a doozy :rain:.
