As much as I dislike the fact that next Sunday will see the last episode of season 5, I think it's probably better for some people. Hopefully, a few months will be enough for them to calm down. Afetr they recovered from the finale of course....

This happens every season, though, doesn't it? It's not that the complaints aren't 'legitimate', but a lot of the complaints from this episode are from the S/E shippers, and so they're very upset because they don't know where that's going.

I understand completely the complaints about condensing storylines-did we really need that much time in S2 on the maenad, or this season's Ifrit? And there are viewers who watch TB to escape the real world and don't want too much politics and religion.

And of course, all complaints about a lack of Eric are correct!

Yes, more Eric is always a good idea! :D

I would never deny someone their opinion on "True Blood". For personal reasons, I would give the writers grief about that Ifrit/PTSD-storyline and the way it ended, if I had the chance to. And I love to read the different views on the storylines, the characters, the quotes and the tiny details, but some people get carried away and don't even realise it. There's some "Twilight"-worthy obsession out there when it comes to "Team Bill" and "Team Eric". Luckily, "Team Alcide" seems to be content with him taking his shirt off... *ducks behind sofa and hides from Mik*

I think it helps that Alcide isn't truly a major character in terms of the overall plot (that I can tell) and therefore lowered expectations? (also hides behind sofa).

I usually enjoy a lot of the give and take on the TB storylines from the blogs and Tumblrs because most of them watch a lot more closely than I do and they pick up on things that I'd miss. I have a lot of complaints about TB's structure and probably always will-unless Mark Hudis tightens it up for S6.

Thanks for all the pics/videos/links ladies! Cannot believe we're down to the finale on TB. They do usually start right after Thanksgiving, but that may be for the primary characters - the others may not come into it until they are actually shooting the season, which may be January. Poor Anna has to give birth in there somewhere....

Of course the exact shooting schedule is all speculation until they get a framework for S6 plotted out and a couple of scripts ready.

I think Anna is due in October? And I'm presuming that she'll still be shot from the chest up for the first several episodes.
