Airports....

I have traveled quite a bit with my DA NF and it looks brand new. It goes on the belt and the floor of the airplane. All of my stuff, except my ipad is in a purse organizer. I just set the organizer and my ipad inside the dust bag and cinch it closed. Works great.

I always bring a clean big plastic bag to put my designer handbags in there for the airplane. Then put it underneath the seat. If my handbag is small enough, I put it inside my carry-on once I boarded the airplane. The floor of an airplane is the grossest place ever. People literally throw garbage under their seat, used diapers and what not. Would never just put my handbag or any kind of purse without any protection on any floor...

I typically travel with horizon 55 eclipse. It goes into over head bin. I also travel with a keepall... either 45 or 50. I only have seasonal keepall and I have no problem of sticking it into overhead bin as well. Luggage is meant to be used, any sign of aging lg adds to its history. Louis Vuitton started off as a trunk maker for traveling public. I like to think using my keepalls and horizons when I travel, I pay homage to that legacy.

Somewhere in Paris at LVMH someone just read this post and is sending a big congratulatory email to the Vuitton marketing team!!! ;)
“Bon travail les gars! Ça marche!”

This! Longchamp Le Pliage all the way!
Yep. I fly with my Speedy B DE and a Longchamp Le Pliage expandable crossbody. Since I usually fly to NY, where it can rain any given time, I never carry on my vachetta bags. I pack one in the dustbag, in my luggage. The Speedy goes in the Longchamps through security and is usually in my lap on the plane like an emotional support animal! But I have slipped it back in the Longchamps under the seat. The crossbody strap on the Longchamps is the best while walking around an airport, btw.

I was a Flight Attendant for 38 years so I've seen everything. I have carried Hermes, LV, Prada and Gucci, for years, inside a Le Pliage. Still stylish, semi-water proof and fits under the seat. Fits a small/medium size bag, meds, wallet, make-up bag, sunglasses, cellphone and a change of undies (just in case). You can carry your good jewelry/paperwork inside the bag that's inside the Le Pliage. Everything important is kept with you and you're only carrying on 2 bags.
A Le Pliage and your carry-on roller suitcase and you're ready to go. Easy!

Does a Keepall 50 fit under the seat in front of you? I am about to fly internationally for the first time since the big sick, and Delta's description of a personal item is a little vague. I think, as long as it fits under the seat, it will be okay.

Can those of you who carry on your Keepall 50s please tell me if it fits?

Also, different question that might answer itself.

For those of you who put your LV inside your LePliage, I understand the point of keeping your LV clean, but why not just use the LP?

Or is it because you will be using your LV as your handbag once you reach your destination?

I'm thinking about carrying a Samsonite carryon an using my KA 50 for my personal item and also packing a LP all folded up so that I have the option to check my Samsonite on the return trip. Maybe...

It will fit if it is not very full, but not if it's stuffed. Mine would usually go in the overhead in that case.

Yes exactly that. I use my LP to carry bags that I wouldn't want stuffed in the overhead or in my hold luggage. I usually put a smaller day bag and a clutch inside my LP in their dust bags.

hello - I traveled Delta first class internationally last fall and was horrified to find out virtually nothing fit under my seat! My 50 keepall fit perfectly overhead, no way under the seat, and really no room for a bag underneath except my keepall xs which is very small. I had to get my ipad and other items out of the keepall from above after takeoff.

Lesson learned, I had packed a baggallini fold up sack for any extra purchases, so on the next leg in the airport I got it out and put my iPad, xs, and other items I needed during flight inside and that fit under my seat (i tied it shut as didn’t want items to come out) and it was nice not to have to ru.mage in my bag overhead.

Can’t remember the kind of plane it was, except it was very large so I was surprised at the lack of room under the seat. HTH - at least you can be prepared with options. And hope you have a great trip!

If your plane is similar to what mine was not even the le pliage will fit under the seat unless it’s a mini. I highly recommend a small fold up bag in case you get stuck as I did. we had checked two other pieces of luggage and only had the 50 and my keepall xs, thank goodness, just not enough room.
