I use my neverfulls as carry-ons. They go through the belt and under the seat infront of me on the floor (unless I’m lucky and have an empty seat next to me!) I don’t want to be afraid to use them otherwise they would just sit in my closet. I love my bags so much. They get used.
That being said I would be hesitant to check any of my smaller bags in my checked luggage. Not so much for fear of being stolen, but more for fear of my luggage being lost. If I am bringing a smaller bag with me it goes inside the neverfull and stays with me at all times.
I just got the onthego for my birthday and I will use her for a plane carry on also in the same manner.

Since they scratched up a limited edition LV bag feet so badly once, right before security I pack my LV handbag into my carry on suitcase and after security take it out. She had taken it out of the tub and pulled it on the metal area really firmly (not the belt area) If I bring a NF I leave it out, no hardware really to scratch up.

I use my neverfull and or my speedy. I do have a horror story that makes me think twice about this. My friend went to get her bag from under the airplane seat and it was soaking wet. The little girl in the seat in front of her had peed. Yikes! In all my flying this has never happened to me but it makes me think twice.

OMG, I would’ve been in tears!

I haven’t traveled with any of my LV bags yet, but I probably will in the future. I’d be terrified to check them, so I’d probably put them in my Le Pliage and then put that in the overhead compartment. Keeps them protected and they can’t get stolen or peed on.

I use a keep all 50 and neverfull as my carry ons. They go through the scan belt, under seat and over head with no issues. They are made to be used.
I use the exact same items and they’re both monogram. I don't really care about babying the leather - Have even shoved my keepall 50 under the seat in front of me before.

For those of us who travel with their LV bags, I'd love to know your stance on bags and travel and or
airports. Do you happily place your bag into the security tray for X-ray etc or are you more cautious and pack your bag in your checked luggage to use once at your destination? I had to literally clench my fists and bite the inside of my lip recently when a female security person was rummaging through my bag with no regard for the vachetta - I'm laughing typing this by the way... I felt like yelling, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"... but refrained....

Happily ? No. But I do travel with both DE and Mono. And would probably bite the inside of my lip too. However I travel with a lunchbox (I am an employee) and I have to bite my lip when they rummage through my food, swab my Cheeto bag for bomb residue, drop my reusable fork on the floor and throw out my sealed yogurt randomly. It’s just life. And we should try to move through it enjoying our bags.

Good Question...Also, I'm wondering, do you put your bags under the airplane seat in front of you? I travel with my neverfull, (which I love for travel) and it's a dilemma. :hrmm:
I travel a lot. I see what happens on the plane. I try to remember to bring a little plastic bag to put on the floor under my bag under my seat. If I don’t I don’t stress though. I often travel with luggage under the seat in front of me. And don’t care. Luggage is treated as a germy item in my home. It doesn’t sit on my bed or counter tops. I literally drag it through the airport and into bathroom stalls. But my LV Handbags are more a part of my world. They sit on my bed. On my kitchen counter. It grosses me out to sit them on top of urine, fecal matter, dirt and vomit which is what is on peoples shoe soles.

When I travel with designer bags and nice jewelry, I make it a point to put them in a real crappy looking carry-on bag even before I leave the house, having my boarding pass and I.D. at the ready when I need them. After they've gone through the security belt I'll do the Superman in a phone booth thing, put them on and wear them and stuff the crap bag. On the way to the gate, DH buys McMuffins and I get some grossly overpriced coffee, we sit and I enjoy my nice things, hoping our flight isn't delayed. Which it usually is.

I don’t mind putting my bag in the security tray. I’ve never had anyone go through it. After, I usually put it in my carry on bag. I don’t put valuables in checked luggage as I’ve had items stolen with far less value from my checked bags multiple times. Anything of significant value I carry on with me & I don’t use high end designer checked luggage. It gets thrown around & beat on so for me I just can’t.

I have 2 Neverfull GM's that I use for travel only. They do go through the TSA check and on the floor in front of me. When I get home, I clean the bottom of the bag, but even so, they would never be put on a kitchen counter in my home or anything.

I did buy the OneTheGo tote thinking I'd use it for travel, but I'm having second thoughts. For me and my budget, it's too beautiful and expensive for airline use.

For my daily travel hand bag, I usually put it inside my Neverfull, or inside my carry-on luggage. While I definitely don't think everyone is a thief, I did have luggage lost one time, so it's a once bitten twice shy thing for me.

I used my Keepall Mono Eclipse 45 as a carry on for the first time this week. I usually reserve them for car travel but it was a quick 2 night trip to visit someone in the hospital with no need for a large wardrobe so the size was perfect with room to spare. I put it through the belt and in the overhead with no problems. The black treated leather makes me less stressed than the vachetta. When I do take my mono NF on the plane it goes under the seat though I prefer not to fly with this bag as I think I’m hard on my under-the-seat bags and prefer a backpack - plus the backpack is easier to carry though airports. My never full DE is my travel workhorse. Been to many many airports domestic and international. Bought it awhile back when it was like $600, I think :) still looks awesome. Been under plane seats on long flights throughout Europe, north America and Asia. Many hands of TSA agents. Just assign one bag as your travel bag, and enjoy it without worry. I have other bags that I baby, but not the never full.

I always use my NF when travelling. It goes through security but in a separate tray by itself. I lay it on myself so no need for it to be handled otherwise I may also want to scream if they through it around and treat it roughly. I do put it slightly under the seat in front of me but usually don’t get asked to move it further under as the hostesses normally see and never say anything. Next time I may take a plastic bag to sit it on though that’s a good idea

Before I sold my Neverfull, it was my travel bag. It was my all-around bag actually. Airports are particular places that makes this Lv very handy and convenient. I pop everything but the kitchen sink in it and things are always easily accessible. It also sits comfortably on my cabin luggage that I don’t have to physically carry it.

I had to let it go as the open top bothered me continuously.. Sold it to fund my speedy B. I am still on the lookout for a “zipped” neverfull or something similar. The All-in comes close second but I have not convinced myself to buy it just yet.

Agree. Have been eyeing the All-in as well as I can't pull the trigger on another non-zip tote. Currently I use a Goyard Artois for travel- like that it zips.
