Happy Sunday, fellow Islanders! :beach:

If you are a reasonably decent human being you do your best to follow the Golden Rule.

But if you ask my Evil Twin…

She’ll tell you the Golden Rule is a two way street. :police:

Every so often think about being as kind to yourself as you are to others. :hugs:

Whether it’s a bag, a bottle of wine, or a box of signature chocolates, share in your own generous nature.

Good morning, fellow Islanders! :sunshine:

It’s “Moving forward” Monday with a bag I purchased late yesterday afternoon. :speedy:

Having once owned two Dooney Florentine satchels (sold to help offset a catastrophic vehicle repair bill) I’d naturally assumed that I would replace at least one of them at a later date.

But Fate decreed otherwise. :nono:

At seventy years old and happily still counting, my chronic wonky shoulder and recovery from a minor (though nonetheless painful) back injury made me realize that lugging around a six pound purse (no matter how beautiful) was out of the question.

So I set my sights on a physically more friendly option. :search:

And here she is. Another Dooney, this one in Toscano leather…*
(*apologies for the grubby wall pic, but as we are currently in the midst of a blizzard any one of my more familiar outdoor pics will have to wait.):giggle:

Happy Tuesday, fellow Islanders! :beach:

I’ll be going to my hairdresser later this morning. And (as I’ve worn the same hairstyle for more years than I can recount) little will change today.
:sleepy:

Which is why I own so many bags. A bag that disappoints can be chucked into a closet to either be sold or donated as opposed to a bad hair decision that can take months to grow out while I’m the one hiding out in the closet! :giggle:

Have a relaxing visit to the hairdresser!

Good morning, fellow Islanders! :sunshine:

It’s “Weirdest Bag” Wednesday! :cray:

Until recently, my candidate for weirdest bag in my collection had to be this peculiar Piero Guidi I’d received back in 2021 as a gift from one of my nieces. :panic:

IMG_5753.jpeg

To my credit, since then I’ve dutifully worn this bag to any family outing where I knew my niece would attend.

The rest of the time it is stored in a bottom drawer in my bedroom along with the collection of face masks I’d accumulated during the pandemic.

But like any good horror story, it doesn’t end there.

One day while browsing bags at a random Thrift store in a neighboring County, (cue the theme music from “Jaws”)..

I was confronted by a horror I could not escape.. :faint:

IMG_6286.jpeg

What compelled me to stray so far afield beyond the bounds of good taste with this atrocity is akin to watching a horror movie and shouting at the character on the screen not to pick up the hitchhiker with the chainsaw.. :panic:

But they do anyway.

Ladies, here is what I found this morning …
A lightweight, waterproof and washable Save My Bag blue tote.
My camera doesn’t give it justice…I prefer to post a pic from their website…

What a fantastic find, Mariapia! :dothewave:

After seeing your post, I naturally checked out the savemybag website. :search:

And I was absolutely bowled over by everything about their bags and their sincerity. :ps:
