Happy Thursday, fellow Islanders! :beach:

I’m a great believer in “you never know until you’ve tried it” when it comes to bags. :yes:

And I’ve tried more than my share. Which explains why I’ve either sold or donated more bags than the three dozen I currently own. :whistle:

But rather than view those miscues as failures, I see them more as tuition. :smartass:

It’s “When the purse fits” Friday. :speedy:

It’s an old familiar story for many a bag lover. You fall in love with a bag, and ignore any tiny twinges of misgivings you might have. :facepalm:

Which was precisely my experience with this Dooney Spicy Satchel.*

As much as I tried to justify my purchase, the sad fact was that my initial misgivings about the overall dimensions of the bag proved to be all too true. Resolving not to make the same mistake twice after selling it, I went on the hunt for a smaller Dooney Spicy. :search:

Which I eventually found. A small crossbody Spicy of which I remain inordinately fond. :love:

Perfect for quick trips and short bursts, it nevertheless is not the “everyday” Spicy I longed for. :girlsigh:

So the search continued. Diligence (not despair) compelled me to continue my quest for several years until culminating finally late
yesterday afternoon when this Dooney Spicy “Speedy” arrived. :presents:

I remember the first two bags and I still love them.:love:

I hope you finally decided to keep the small one.
You can wear it xbody and hand carry the Speedy at the same time..
I see lots of women carrying two bags every day.:smile:

Never fear, Mariapia! :hugs:

I am most definitely keeping the Spicy crossbody. :heart:

It easily accommodates my wallet, phone, Kleenex and keys. Which is all I really need when I’m not planning an extended shopping trip. :broom:
