Today, I have decided to take out one of my leather crossbody bags and to wear a light weight coat….Maybe the bag and my essentials won’t feel as heavy…..
I’ve found that a bag that seems a wee bit heavy on my shoulder feels lighter when worn as a crossbody.
Happy Thursday, fellow Islanders! 
Against my purse loving better judgment, I‘ve added up all my 2022 bag purchases.
And what a grim reckoning it is indeed.
What makes it even worse is the number of those bags that disappointed and ended up being donated.
So with that in mind I’ve decided not to buy any bag in 2023 that I haven’t seen IRL.
And given the paucity of desirable bags offered by my favorite retailers in our surrounding three Counties, my bank account will undoubtedly end up thanking me.

As you know, we still don’t have a real bag shop in the city….
Only shops that sell clothes and a few so called accessories, most of which are synthetic leather purses…
That’s why we have to be patient. Wait for a trip to a bigger city, have a look at a few designs…and then decide to buy something there or if we can’t make up our mind immediately….go home and order on line..

I know from my own experience with my iPad that the actual color of a bag isn’t always faithfully reflected by a pic.

And there is something else: the dimensions are not always accurate.
and I am not talking about the weight… which is rarely mentioned.
