Happy Saturday, fellow Islanders!
I have yet to change out of the surprise Dooney from my DH for Christmas. :presents:

So here’s some current pics now that the sun is out and all the snow has melted. :sunshine:

(initially I wasn’t sure about the hang tag, but I’ve become more fond of it as time has gone on.) :ok:

Happy Monday, fellow Islanders!

2023 has already been an eventful year regarding my bags.

I‘ve seriously curated my collection applying the following criteria:

1. “Grab and Go” with no need for purse inserts, shapers or tweaks. :choochoo:

2. Must have an interior zip pocket for my keys and other small items as well as a slip pocket for my phone. :chatty:

3.With respect for my wonky shoulder, must not weigh more than 4 pounds fully loaded. :workout:

4. No babying required. Must be able to handle riding shotgun in a vehicle alongside either one or both of our ecstatic terriers. :dog: :dog:

5. Free up closet space so my sweaters can be liberated from being stashed in boxes under my bed.

6. Stop having to go on “scavenger hunts” for misplaced keys, lip balm, etc. when I can’t remember which bag they might be in after I’ve switched out bags. :confused1:

7. And perhaps most importantly, having my bags reflect where I am in my life right now. I’m retired, looking forward to turning 70 this year, enjoying a casual rural lifestyle that gives me all the contentment and satisfaction that my work life and former social commitments never afforded me. :beach:

Thank you, nyeredzi.

I freely admit my motivation in no small part was inspired by various friends’ experiences with the “tyranny of personal possessions” following the passing of their respective parents.

Rather than having that particular eventuality brewing behind my closet doors for my daughter, what bags I’ve decided to keep will conveniently fit into two large-ish boxes for her to do with as she chooses. :sneaky:

(Full disclosure: rather than “save the best for last”, I gifted her my vintage Chanel years ago for the purely selfish pleasure of witnessing her delight. )

* Fear not, fellow Islanders. While I have no immediate plans to shuffle off this mortal coil, my patience with my argumentative younger sister is wearing so thin that prison always remains a possibility. :roflmfao:
