Why in heaven's name should Brit award be taken away from Adele?

I'm not the one to curse or flip people off but it's justified in Adele's case. After receiving her award, she said how proud she feels to win Brit Award for Best Album after sweeping Grammys and they cut her off right after that. Nice way to thank her, right?

i have no problem with her giving the finger. she won the award through a combination of merit and popularity. they have no right to take it away from her.

plus it's just a middle finger. we live in a society that makes the female body a commodity, but flipping someone off is noteworthy. i can't.

If I was her I wouldn't have given the finger but I agree with you.

After giving so much to the public, they couldn't give her an extra couple of minutes to thank her fans properly??

Don't agree with the finger, gotta watch what you're doing in public, but I think they were totally rude to her...

preach!

I don't know why it's okay for Adele to publicly flip off, but other performers are ripped apart for it.
If you're referring to the performer from the Superbowl, there's a BIG difference - she flipped off the viewing audience. Looked right into the camera and flipped the bird, while she was performing. There was no reason for that. Her excuse was that she got caught up in the moment - oh yea, whenever I get excited or caught up in the moment, I flip the bird! Adele was giving a thank you speech, was rudely cut off & not allowed to finish, and in a moment of frustration flipped the bird to the side - I could barely see it the first time I saw the video. I'm not saying its the best thing to do, or the smartest, but her reason for doing so is a little more understandable. And to say she should have to hand back her award because of it? That's just ridiculous!

I wasn't referring to her, but now that you mention it...she flipped "the bird" on the lyrics "I don't give a S#!T". I didn't find it offensive at all. Inappropriate, yes...but in relation to performing and getting caught up in the moment, no. I watched Madonna's halftime show and didn't see MIA do it. I had to look for it the next day.

Back to Adele...Just because she's interrupted during her acceptance speech doesn't give her the okay to flip anyone off just because she's frustrated. It's just juvenile...not justified.

But I don't know where I said she should give her award back.

I don't know why she gets a free pass either. I expect this kind of behavior from Chris Brown, but not a grown woman like Adele. Plus, she's be just fine without that award, after all those Grammy wins...

even then, a middle finger is still the least of our concerns when it comes to anything. murderous violence and the objectification of women are both ok in primetime but a middle finger isn't. i can't. i simply cannot.
