^That's how i feel too. She's great, her songs are great, her voice is great but when her music is way overplayed and i'm starting to get sick of it.

She still sounds brand new to me. That is because I only listen to her cd. The stations I occasionally listen to do not play her.
Haha. You know how radio stations are... they tend to play the same songs at a time. Then one time, this station came out with a remix of it... I died.
I don't listen to the radio often so I don't think she is overplayed. Now Beyonce is over played imo. Every time I turn on the radio I hear Love on Top or Party. Ugh...
Her album sold 729,900 in the US this past week. Total 7,352,609. Truly amazing in the age of piracy. If this was back in the day she probably would be well over 10,000,000.
I'm not an Adele fan either. I'd never heard of her until someone started a thread. But...she is really talented and her songs are catchy. My daughter loves her songs and even did a cover on youtube. But other than that I wouldn't even know about her.
A large number of radio stations around the U.S. are owned by just a small handful of companies. The DJs/stations play what they're told to play by corporate who gets paid by the records companies to play certain things. They say 'payola' went out with a big scandal of the past, but I don't believe it.
For that matter, quite a few stations don't even have DJs any more. They're fed by remote connections to corporate so stations in several cities may well be playing exactly the same songs at the same times.
Interesting stuff. Not a big music fan so I only listen to whatever's on the radio... and they definitely do just this. Overplaying fluffy music from LMFAO, Beyonce, Usher, etc. is fine but it's too bad they killed the ish out of an otherwise pretty song like Nothing Like You.
Regarding her flipping of the bird - for those that have put her down for it, have you seen the FULL video? I also heard that the artists aren't prepared in case they win - they're not told ahead of time how much time they have to say thank you, and they're certainly not told that a small man will walk on stage and tell you to stop - they don't play you off the stage with music like they do in the US. They may as well have a hook to drag you off the stage.

YAY!!!!!! i hadn't heard that the 5 year thing was just a rumor. i was SUPER bummed out because she's one of the very very VERY few artists I want to see in concert. now i have hope!
i agree that sometimes her songs get a little much on the radio station.. but when i haven't heard them in awhile and i hear them again, they're just as awesome as when i heard them the first time.
