I've had a jetta for years. It had many small electrical problems which was annoying, but all in all it's a pretty fun car to drive for the price. If you are looking for a car with more "soul" i would go for jetta. Altho i did hear something about this yr's 07 jetta being not a popular car .... not sure the details.
I also test drove the camry recently since i was car shopping. It was comfy but felt like i was driving a boat? =p It is the typical japanese car driving experience. But the pros would prolly be it wont give u as many car prob headaches. Oh, and its also much bigger than the jetta esp in back seat space.
