A new Coach Line called Snoopy?

How are you all attaching your Snoopy hangtags to your bags to keep them secure? I'm slightly paranoid about them coming off after I recently had a hangtag from one of Legacy bags slip off in a movie theater without me knowing it. Fortunately I just happened to look down at the floor before I left so I was able to see it and pick it up. My poor Snoopy hangtags are sleeping in their boxes and want to come out to play!

If you feel like looking through the keychain / fob thread, there's some ideas on how to secure charms on your bag. Start at the last post and work your way back through the posts because those ideas were scattered at the backside of the thread and not the beginning.

Made it to and from the outlet this morning. I was able to get the cosmetic pouches in black and saddle, wristlets in black and saddle and crossbody pouches in red, black and saddle. I use the FP crossbody pouches as wallets since they have the detachable straps and I like the option to grab it out of my larger bag, attach the strap and go. I'll have to do a little bit of modification to the outlet crossbody pouches to add clips to make the straps detachable. I know to some it is criminal to modify a bag but I've been a Snoopy fan since I was a child and I could care less about "resale" value because they are mine all mine!:smile1: The SA asked if I needed a gift receipt... I said, No sir, they are all mine. My surrey's from the FP first release 2.0 need some friends.

Hey, I modify if I need to too. I turned large Legacy wristlets into crossbody bags. It's Coach and it's leather, but it's not a museum piece that shouldn't be mutilated. :nono:

I love the pouches and would love to know how you plan to modify them. Thanks!

I think she talking about modifying the tiny crossbody bags and not the cosmetic pouches. ;)

Awesome, thanks! I remember asking before when I got them and there were responses, but I don't remember what others suggested. Too much going on at the time lol. Now I'm ready to take them out to play. I've been using the perfect bags for them lately.:smile1:

Well, if I can't get into the next FOS I'll know why. I went today to get a price adjustment and when I went in the store I realized that the red slg's looked much nicer in person. So I permanently returned my saddle items, returned and re-bought my black and chalk slg's and then bought a couple of red slg's. :cray:

The store was dead and there was LOTS of Snoopy merchandise. The cold and 22 mile an hour wind is probably why the store was totally dead, but I was surprised at the amount of Snoopy merchandise that was there several days after the debut.

So, if your store doesn't have what you want, see if you can get them to do a charge send from the Gulfport, MS. store. No large satchels though, just the small ones and the totes.

You're welcome. Some people go out and buy clips (jewelry making section of craft depts.) and some just use a ball chain off a hang tag to give extra security. :smile1:

I tied clear nylon thread (aka fishing line) following the same path as the ball chain. That way, even if the little ball chain fails, the nylon thread will catch it. I did that to the booklets on the 1st release bags too. Some of my hangtags I'm actually using *inside* the bag because they're just cute to see when I open the tote.

I plan on doing that too! I was wondering if that new Coach Craftsmanship Bar (or whatever it's called) would do something like that, or if I need to find someone who is really good to make the mod for me. If I had a machine capable of sewing leather of that thickness I'd diy, but I don't.

How sure are we that the Bennetts are coated canvas? I got a black one and it looks and feels like pebbled leather to me. This is my only coach bag, so I'm not very knowledgeable.

People seem to be getting mixed answers. However, the SA at my coach outlet did verify to me that they are coated canvas and fabric cleaners should be used to clean them. I don't know if anyone else has verified sources? BTW, I got the black one too. It's just too cute!

I went yesterday to the Woodbury commons Outlet coach store and they were able to do a price adjustment for all my items without any questions or problems. I was able to also snag a $495 Snoopy sweater for $160 since it was 70% off. BTW-the store had one more black wallet from the second collection. Merchandise from the first and second collection are still 50% off....factory collection merchandise are 70% off. Good luck!! I'm broke now :-( BUT very HAPPY :-D

That's awesome. Did you have to bring the items with you or could they do make the adjustment using your invoice?

Thanks

I brought them with me just in case, but they never even asked for them when they did the adjustment. I didn't have to show them anything, but since I was going to look around I showed them that I had the items so they didn't think I was stealing them.

The manager at my store verified that the Bennetts were crossgrain leather. She said she got an email from corporate letting her know what each item is supposed be.

Fishing line! Yes, now I remember someone (probably you) mentioning that before lol. Do you have a close up pic you could take? Do you weave it around the ball & chain before securing?

I just thought of something.....Has anyone read the creed patch inside the tote? I just found a legible photo on ebay and the creed says 'materials' not 'leather' or 'genuine leather'. Does Coach not say 'leather' on the creed patches anymore? I looked at a few recent known leather bags and some have 'leather' on the patch and others didn't......odd.....

The SA's said this morning the totes were coated canvas....I didn't ask about the Bennett nor did I even look at it.

Since this is an ongoing question and some people have even mailed headquarters about it, why can't they just step up and publicly say what it is since there is a question about the material. I don't know about the Bennett, but the tote I picked up this morning had absolutely no weight to it. I would think that even the thinnest of leather would have a little weight.

The regular Bennets are leather. I have one in Chalk. I don't know about the Snoopy ones - I did not touch or look at them closely.

Picked up this cutie yesterday. I held it along with the black one for almost half and hour before making my mind. I just wish they hadn't placed Snoopy so close to the name. I think it would have looked better. I didn't like it in the pictures, but found it better irl. I just had to have one thing form this collection. I considered the key rings only briefly because of the price. Had I known that I had a coupon I might have gotten one. I don't regret not getting it, though. This wristlet is enough for me.
