A new Coach Line called Snoopy?

I tied clear nylon thread (aka fishing line) following the same path as the ball chain. That way, even if the little ball chain fails, the nylon thread will catch it. I did that to the booklets on the 1st release bags too. Some of my hangtags I'm actually using *inside* the bag because they're just cute to see when I open the tote.

Fishing line! Yes, now I remember someone (probably you) mentioning that before lol. Do you have a close up pic you could take? Do you weave it around the ball & chain before securing?

No, I just thread it through and knot it about 3 times, then put a tiny (very tiny) dot of clear craft glue on the knot. I make it a bit larger than the chain(s) as I don't want to inhibit the movement of the tag(s) and possibly cause them to pull, I just want something to catch them if the chain fails. I figure if I get caught on something and the stress is enough to snap the thread, I'll notice what's going on. The line mostly just prevents those stealthy "oops!" accidents. I attached a pic in the post below because I was too much of a space cadet to remember to attach it to this post, lol!

FYI - They are very well stocked at Rosemont Illinois.

But can they still say that after you've shopped? :graucho:

I just thought of something.....Has anyone read the creed patch inside the tote? I just found a legible photo on ebay and the creed says 'materials' not 'leather' or 'genuine leather'. Does Coach not say 'leather' on the creed patches anymore? I looked at a few recent known leather bags and some have 'leather' on the patch and others didn't......odd.....

The SA's said this morning the totes were coated canvas....I didn't ask about the Bennett nor did I even look at it.

Since this is an ongoing question and some people have even mailed headquarters about it, why can't they just step up and publicly say what it is since there is a question about the material. I don't know about the Bennett, but the tote I picked up this morning had absolutely no weight to it. I would think that even the thinnest of leather would have a little weight.

I agree this is a very weird situation. I've emailed and have yet to receive a reply. Maybe next week I'll Instagram a pic of my tote and tag Coach and Stuart Vevers with a comment about wishing it was leather (because I DO wish that... my other Snoopy totes are wonderful). They need to address this.

If you feel like looking through the keychain / fob thread, there's some ideas on how to secure charms on your bag. Start at the last post and work your way back through the posts because those ideas were scattered at the backside of the thread and not the beginning.

Hey, I modify if I need to too. I turned large Legacy wristlets into crossbody bags. It's Coach and it's leather, but it's not a museum piece that shouldn't be mutilated. :nono:

I think she talking about modifying the tiny crossbody bags and not the cosmetic pouches. ;)
That's what I meant...I thought they were called pouches???

Picked up this cutie yesterday. I held it along with the black one for almost half and hour before making my mind. I just wish they hadn't placed Snoopy so close to the name. I think it would have looked better. I didn't like it in the pictures, but found it better irl. I just had to have one thing form this collection. I considered the key rings only briefly because of the price. Had I known that I had a coupon I might have gotten one. I don't regret not getting it, though. This wristlet is enough for me.

Super cute! the design really pops in this color, i believe snoopy is supposed to be 'kissing' Coach...

Since the metal ring appears to be solid that attaches the crossbody strap to the pouch/bag I think the easiest way to accomplish what I want is to snip the metal ring with heavy duty wire cutters, pry the metal ring open, unloop the crossbody strap from the metal ring, put the metal ring back on the pouch/bag leather loop and squeeze it back together. Then go to the craft store and buy clips and rings to attach to the crossbody strap so I can clip the crossbody strap on and off the pouch/bag. I think trying to go the route of unstitching, restitching and trying to reedge the leather is much more of a risk than snipping a metal ring.

I think you're right. I took a look at mine and it's a D-ring. I can see the seam on it. If you try that, can you post how well that worked? I'm trying to figure out if the rings are truly metal, or that plated resin material that some found on factory bags. If it's resin, it'll likely break (at which point it could be replaced with a proper metal one, lol!)

Question for those who purchased slg's in white... How are you liking them? Have you used them yet? I have the wristlet but have not yet used it. The wallet, cosmetic case and crossbody have been calling my name. I do not otherwise have any white bags or slg's and would not have anything for these to match but the design is so cute because it's Snoopy's true color...

I don't think there is a seam. I looked at the ring under a magnifier, looks like there is an imprint Coach on one side and then an imprint of a H on the flat side. Just showed husband my purchases and told him my plan for the crossbody pouches. He said I should have no trouble snipping the rings. He said if they are made of junk and break just buy a few extra rings when I go to the craft store. He reminded me I just bought a few Lobster clasps that might fit the crossbody pouches. I bought the Lobster clasps to use with some charms that were attached to a metallic wristlet and card case I bought during the last online outlet sale. I'm not keen on the charms being attached to the wristlet because they rub up against other items I have in my bag. I'd rather put the charms on a clip and then clip the charms to my bag. Hope that makes sense. I do need to find a larger Lobster clasp because it is a tiny bit to small to attach to some of the larger hardware on some bags.

Hi everyone! I don't post much but I am a huge Snoopy fan!
My husband found this one at the Hallmark store. It's by Dept 56; Snoopy By Design.
First time trying to post a picture here with my phone..I hope it comes out right!

I got out the craft lamp (light! magnification! win!) and yep, that's right. If they are junk, then we are better off replacing them with metal ones because I would be REALLY unhappy if one broke and my crossbody fell off unnoticed. The lobster clasps I have from modifying a couple of fobs are too big, so I need to round up smaller ones.

That is adorable! I think there's a ceramic figure that matches that design.
