It would be very deceiving for Coach to sell these as calf leather if they're not.

Very very adorable! Is the red make up case made with the same type of leather as the tote?
The tag doesn't indicate the type of leather as the FOS description did. But I could clearly see in the on-line pics that the Tote was not smooth calf leather. The Tote feels like cross grain. It has no leather smell like the cosmetic case.
The two are totally different. The cosmetic case smells like leather. I'm glad DH didn't sneak up on me sniffing it! lolol
This is the only piece I'm sad I can't get. The color is [emoji173]️. Lol my dad has definitely seen me sniffing my bags. [emoji38]

I forgot how long it takes to get FOS orders. I checked tracking, and Snoopy is hanging out in Chattanooga this weekend and won't arrive until Tuesday. He's definitely a roadtripping beagle and not a Flying Ace on this purchase.

I'm hoping that my husband finds the red tote for me and then I plan to sneak over there to find the red wallet (which I didn't like at first but somehow grew to love!) and the black Bennett with Snoopy hugging Woodstock - I may be wrong but isn't this the first time that this design was put on an actual handbag? As a collector, I think that for those of us who love this design, we may regret not getting this bag while it's at this price, only to find that they're all on eBay at 3 times the amount. The same could be said of the black wallet with this design.....

Snoopy hugging Woodstock was on the Surrey satchels for the first release. Personally I like the leather from the FP version better, so didn't bite for this collection. The designs are really cute though!
I don't read descriptions...but from a mile away I could see that the totes were cross-grain in the FOS photos. Not my favorite texture, so probably it's more obvious to me than to most.

I've noticed that for us GA ladies, Chattanooga is a stopping point.
I'm going to visit Tanger Outlet on Weds to see what's at the outlet store.
It is hard to go for the new satchels after the awesome leather of the FP versions. I did get the black tote though because I could not resist the design despite the leather.
