Adorable! what is the leather on the tote. Yes, i know they say calf online but with that auction picture posted above i swear it looks like cross grain?
I was thinking the same. The texture is visible on the outlet pictures also. I suspect the cute graphic will outweigh any disappointment I may have with the leather quality.
I checked out the seller's other items and did a closeup view of that chalk tote. I've got to say that while I really was tempted by that one (chalk color, not the listing) I'm sure I won't cave and buy one when they're in the store because the pebbled texture with that color just doesn't thrill me. It's not a dislike for pebbled - I have a satchel in red and my incoming tote is red - just that color/texture (probably my inner doomsayer reminding me that a textured white fabric is next to impossible to keep nice long-term). Black textured looks fine too.

Probably. I think outlet is perpetually "on sale" for at least 50% off. You should have hubby call the outlet on Tuesday and do a hold, or even a charge hold, so that there's one waiting for you.

Agreed on the cute graphic! I really love that pose. You ordered a black tote, right? I think the black textured looks fine too. It's just on the chalk that I'm not really a fan - at least based on the photo I saw on eBay.
I forget who pointed out that it looked like a dancing Snoopy on the creed - and it is! How cool.

I got my items today, too, and I feel the same about the tote. I was hoping the leather would be nicer but I could tell by the photos that it was cross grain. I got the cosmetic bag and the leather is smooth and wonderful, I LOVE it. I got the two key chains and they are a nice size. I'll post pics later.

Glad the cosmetic case is smooth, that is my choice of the collection and being I have the wristlet from the fp line I want decent leather to go along with it.. Otherwise I will skip it.
Why I enjoy the cuteness of the releases I want good leather to back this up too.
