^^^Ya know, I've been missing my simple ol' Lg. khaki signature Carly with black trim!!! It could go with me no matter what I was wearing because of the brown in the bag, and the black of the trim!!!

The good old days when I knew nothing!!! LOL

Now I know too much, and it makes me WANT too much!!! LOL

I also have an older (early-mid 90's) swingpack I'll have to photograph & post ASAP!!

Look, they had an ostrich version of the 06' Legacy Satchel!

I've mentioned this before (someone's gonna tell the needle to skip the groove if I keep repeating it), but my holy grail is a Bleecker 9306. I've never had a bag so comfortable--the strap is amazing. I also like that there is little hardware on it. There's a red one on Ebay now, but I'm holding out for a dark brown or black. New Coach be damned!!

I am pleased this thread was started to show & discuss older lines. Since I did not really start buying Coach until this year, except for 2 bags from the outlet last year and several mini skinnies & keyfobs for the past couple of years (I thought Coach was out of my price range), I am seeing for the first time all the beautiful & classic bags that I was not able to take advantage of.
I would say that I am a "newbie" to Coach. I have gone for a couple of HG bags (Berry Sabrina, for one) & would figuratively "sell my soul" (ha) for a Gigi, I still feel that "dues" are questionable for me. I just love the line & will continue to do so.
Maybe one day I will be considered a veteran of Coach.

The line I miss most is the "pre-pleated" Ergo stuff from 2007. The hobos and totes. I never really liked the pleated stuff, or the satchel.

I also miss the Hamptons things (the CARRYALL!!!) and the Gallery Totes.

What I had forgotten to mention in my previous post is that I wish that the Legacy line from 2006/07 would be able to come back. From what I've seen, that was the line that really flew out the door & is now hunted by collectors.

This is grrrreat Baglady39 and Coach10619! I am sorry I haven't really been around and replying late here.

This is fantastic. I think this could be the thread that ties both the older and the newer Coachies. Since Coach is pushing out new lines at a fantastic rate and retiring the previous line to the outlets, there is basically only a 3-month lifespan for any Coach handbag. Carlys and Zoes are the exception and can last up to a year. Maybe in the future, a typical Coach bag lifespan at a boutique may be the same as an average housefly--a couple of weeks and then its dead. :death:

I came in when the 2007 Bleeckers were going out. I should have grabbed a XL Leather Duffle when I had a chance. When I first saw them, I didn't like them either. They reminded me of KFC buckets with handle grips. :p I am glad though my BF got me a black/black siggy medium Bleecker Duffle. It's just the right size and weight for me. In fact, since I have been seeing my chiropractor on a regular basis, I can carry pretty heavy handbags without much mishap. I wished I saw my chiropractor for a year before discovering Coach so I could have delved into Legacy and Bleecker lines with more confidence. ;)

I think Coach has more meaning to us than just the lastest stuff they've put in their boutique showrooms just to have them moved to the outlets in the following month at less than half their original cost. I think we came here because Coach made some really special handbags with the most amazing leather ever imagineable and then they just suddenly stopped and changed direction. I dunn-oh. :shrugs:

I have a tan suede patchwork hobo from the original ergo line (2003/2004). Then the pleated line came out, and I just wasn't into it. Coach revived the old style for a bit, but it just didn't have the same "feel" as the original line had.

I just bought a black belted hobo. I think they were from 1995. I love some of the older bags and need to focus on acquiring the ones on my list instead of focusing on new bags. I can get 2-3 older bags for the price of 1 new one!

I LOVE this bag!!^^ It's so classic and trendy at the same time. It looks great on YOU ?? or is that you?? At any rate, it looks wonderful!!

Too funny!!! ^^ Yes, I never got into the pleated Ergo line either. I'm an "old school" ergo gal. I have both the Pond tote and the large black leather w/GORGEOUS turnlock. I'm a sucker big-time for turnlocks!!

^Ha ha, you got one of my quotes when I was trying to edit out the 'mindless consumers of Coach' before I get some Coachies irate and mad at me.:pout:

I can include myself as a 'reformed' mindless Coach addict too. Coach cured me with their new 2009 lines.

I actually like the Pleated Ergo hobos--they look like 'Shrimp Bags' to me especially the orangey coloured ones. I got myself a Large Black Pleated hobo and love it and it sleeps in the same dustcover with my MFF unpleated Ergo hobo which I bought earlier at an outlet. Also, I got a few unpleated Ergos from 2006 too. I just couldn't get enough.

Oooooh-yeah! I love Huge turnlocks. I remember they had a GIANT turnlock on display. I was tempted to ask a SA how much she was willing to sell it for but didn't. When I saw the first Parker handbags with turnlocks that could not turn, I knew that my love for Coach handbags was sorely tested then and there. Now I just don't look at Coach handbags anymore at the boutiques whether they have turnlocks or not. :hrmm:

I don't know if this counts but... I loved the original Poppy line, with the big red poppy. Man if I could have I would have bought them all, sadly I was young and broke. :( and I didn't know about the outlets!

Also loved the white bags with the multicolor dots. Man oh man, during gallery tote times.

Then my last loves were those wave totes, suedes and leathers mixed together as patchwork. Swoon.
