Thanks all for your well wishes... I am feeling the brunt of the flu attack (so is my DH).

I am so glad my SO turned out better than I had expected. I had wanted a 30cm initially but my SA said that I had complained that the 30cm was not spacious enough for my travel... so why not choose a 35cm and a color combination that would be sufficiently neutral and fjord (as it is a tough leather). I can also use the 35cm on occassions when I need to carry more stuff (not just travel). The new fjord is much lighter and has a velvety matte finish and water bounces right off...

Birkins don't normally blow my skirt up, but that's definitely one of the best color combos I've ever seen. Great contrast, and the color is so neutral that it goes with virtually everything.
