The LA Bag just arrived and is very nice! Here are photos of naturally embossed Hermes stamp and blindstamp (it was just where you indicated). Thanks very much!!

I totally agree! As a Hermes newbie, I am so grateful to our authenticators for sharing their knowledge with us. Ultimately, whether we make a purchase or not, is our own decision, but its so nice to have someone to discuss a potential purchase with!

I think the bag looks authentic and yes, it looks like box. But it is also very expensive for what it is and the seller should have shown more pics of the interior, especially given the signs of verdigris on the zipper, which make me think this bag was stored somewhere humid. I am also concerned that stickers appear to be on the bag (that's a LONG time to have stickers on hardware) and the corners look to me like the bag has been used and shined up with something.

Personally, I would pass.

Thank you mistikat. Does verdigris mean rust or something similar? Also do the stickers cause damage to the hardware when they are removed?

Comment: there's still a protective film on the hardware. I'm a little concern as to why thre would still be the film since 1999? Also is there a pinkish undertone tot he colour? Sorry for all the questions, I'm still new Hermes and want to make my first purchase a right one.
