I think the ostrich bag is ok but this seller has been discussed a lot - please do a search to read for yourself. The other two are not authentic, in my opinion.

HI,
I am the seller of this Bag you are talking about.
You have to have this certificate to pass thru Custome.
It has nothing to do with the L Stamp of production Year.
It is only kind of the Croco Skin.
I also have the this kind of Certificate of all my Croco Hermes Iterms.
This Bag is L stamp for production Year 2008 and i bought Oct 2008 in Europe.
When i flew out of the country i need to show this Certificate to the Custom in order to get the back of country.
I hope this will help you.

No, you cant cross the country without this Certificate.
I had to show it at Customs when i flew out of Germany. The year has nothing to do with the production year of the Bag.
Prodction year is L and it is 2008.

Welcome to the AT thread.
As you mentionnd, this certificate is for the skins.
I too have this with my croc bags, but this is not the permit of re-exportation that is indeed required if the bag changes owner AND country.

Besides , this paper does not show the raise the skins come from. It only shows that the skins are Porosus Crocoldile and it tracks the successive steps of exportations untill final destination : Hermes Paris. That's it. End of the story.

Yes you can cross any border without this certificate if the bag is yours and was bought in your country of residence.
If you want to show this to the customs it is only for your peace of mind or because they are just ignorant about the correct Cites permit that is something else.

You are right this certificate has nothing to do with the year of manufacture of the bag (as again, it is not about the bag, but it is about the skins !)

In any case, no worry as this does not affect the authenticty of your bag:-)

Ah, pursewoman1212, welcome back! As I recall, you posted that you don't care whether or not a bag is fake, so I'm not sure why you bother coming to this part of the forum at all.

Comment: there's still a protective film on the hardware. I'm a little concern as to why thre would still be the film since 1999? Also is there a pinkish undertone tot he colour? Sorry for all the questions, I'm still new Hermes and want to make my first purchase a right one.

sorry for making this confusion~ it was me peggyplaw, asking help & talking about the same purse last night...

i was using my cousin's laptop when mine was low of battery & i didn't realize that i was automatically in her account already until i had posted...
