The hardware is fine and consistent with a cabas as is the Hermès stamp and location. You should also have an interior pocket that clips onto the two studs on the interior, below where the Hermès stamp patch is located, although it may be that this has come off and gone free-range.

Thanks Flossyfigaro for your thoughts...I was just worried about the gold blind stamp because it looked engraved and not stamped and I was under the thought that all hermes items with gold hardware had a deep stamp ...but what do I know !

Just wondering what about the Dogon wallet makes you think it could be fake ? Is it the stitching ?
