I adapted the custom format as suggested by GGA based on the information I tought you should have in order to authenticate the bag. Thanks!

Comments: The person who gave this Birkin to my mother is very serious and definitely not someone who buys fakes. With that said, I have doubts the authenticity, I don't know why, it's just a feeling. I'd appreciate if someone could take a look at it. Thanks everyone for all the help ....I just have two last questions...Could someone please look at the hardware (spacif. the engraved HERMES and the gold craftsmen stamp and tell me if it looks authentic to them or not ) I am very worried. the engraving does not look like any other Iv ever seen.

This bag looks fine to me.

The hardware is fine and consistent with a cabas as is the Hermès stamp and location. You should also have an interior pocket that clips onto the two studs on the interior, below where the Hermès stamp patch is located, although it may be that this has come off and gone free-range.

It looks authentic to me. Although I never saw any all leather CABA bag but it has all Hermes hallmarks we look for when authenticating any bag.

I am not an authenticator (and unlike Louisey Peasey, I do not own one) but Luxury-shops/ aka Luxury-Zurich had a caba (cabas or cabbana search) for sale on their website - if the poster needs to see an authentic one for the sake of comparison.

If you want to know for sure you have to ask at Hermes, go back and do it for your own peace of mind. A nice SA is no more of a clue to authentication than a receipt or dustbag. They are supposed to be nice.

We have absolutely no idea why any ebay user does anything so if you need to know, ask the seller or get your bag to Hermes and move on

I just PM'd addict24 but would also like to say here: I personally purchased that bag at Hermes on Madison Ave in '07. She should take it to Hermes in LA and ask them to clean/repair it and see what they say. Actually have the service done and you will have a receipt that goes with the bag. Also, take some close-up shots and post them here, the peace of mind won't hurt. That was an excellent price for a brand new Birkin 35 and I want addict24 to be thrilled about it, not doubting it. I only changed my username on eBay because everyone always asks what User857857 is, I decided to make a simpler, more fun, more memorable username. Same feedback, same items, same everything. I hope this is dealt with? Please PM me with any comments...

Thanks Flossyfigaro, I thought it was a bit bright for Rouge H, but figured it might be the light or the way buffalo takes color. I'll ask for more pics.
