first one I received because the person in from of me on the wait list didn't show up so I snatched it up , seconded one I got from An SA who was suppose to sell it to another client but they passed on it due to the defect. I was looking for that colorway so I didn't mind.

I used mine for the first time today and I really love it! The leather feels different from my other reissue minis. The quilts are also way puffier! Oh and the HW is shiny gold, which I didn’t know until I received the bag. To anyone who collects Chanel minis, I highly recommend getting this!

I got the bag!! (Received on Tuesday, not opened until yesterday AM because work had been so hectic and I demand a zen-like pleasure when I open my Chanel boxes!) The leather is fine; I see what people mean about the top flap seeming smoother than the bottom but I'm not too worried about flaking, to be honest. I baby my bags and none of my purchased-new bags have any scratches on them. I think flaking would only happen if the coating were to crack from a scuff or scratch (or maybe too much strain on the purse). I wouldn't use it as a daily bag but a once-in-a-while bag, it's perfect. It also looks completely different depending on the lighting. Would definitely recommend!!

Thanks for the rainbow love, guys! I have to say, anyone who has the opportunity to get this bag and is iffy on the colors — see it in person before you pass it up. Under fluorescent lighting, so many of these bags (including mine) looked pale pink, which I didn’t like. But they’re way more vibrant in most natural lighting settings and evening lighting/dusk. This is my bag at brunch on the patio today (in the shade), no filter, versus how it looked mid-afternoon (indoors while unboxing).

So I got a call from my SA and was told that she’d just received a late shipment of the very last rainbow mini reissue ( also the last one countrywide). I loved the colour way in the pics that she sent me and decided to see it in person.
Well I must say that this one looks much much better than the former one that I passed due to a missing coating on the bottom. This one doesn’t feel very distressed and is much softer to touch. Best of all, it has no defects ( no scraping, no big stitch holes or wrinkles under the flap ). I spent a good 30 minutes to inspect the bag stitch by stitch, quilt by quilt ( hubby thought I was doing some sort of science project
).
And I agree with @ChanelCanuck that the actual colour looks much better under the home lighting. The store lights make the bag colour washed out. SA told me the leather was metallic goatskin and that’s why it feels different from the normal metallic calf or metallic lamb. It is still a delicate bag because of the metallic finish but definitely is a very special one.
I am a big reissue fan and I am happy to own 2 special reissues now in addition to a regular 225. I am glad that I have decided to see it in person. Pics were taken under room lights without any filters:

That one is way better than the one you passed up on. And the colorways, especially of the back and underneath the flap are stunning. The pink on the flap is so vibrant; I can imagine exactly how washed out it must have looked in store lighting. I'm glad you got this one!
