Hello, your question got me using a flashlight to look around the bag lol. I reexamined the bag and the area you pointed out it was okay, it is the way the metallic leather reflects. I have to say that this metallic leather is tricky and this is the first time in my life that I used a flashlight to examine a bag lol. Thank you again!

My SA was able to order this one for me. It should arrive in a few days. So happy to get one because I’ve been so caught up with work for a few months that I didn’t realize this color had come out. When I saw it late last week I gave my SA my CC info and today she said she her store received one and it was mine and she sent me pictures. She mentioned there was a waitlist... does anyone know how that works? Did I get the bag before the people on the waitlist because I gave my SA my CC?

Sorry for the confusion, she said there was a waitlist in general for the rainbow metallic bag. However this one came in and she said it was mine. I’m just wondering whether I got the bag before the people on the waitlist because I provided my CC... if that’s the case, why doesn’t everyone on the waitlist just provide their CC to ensure they get the bag first?
From what I went throught here with my local boutique, once you put your name down on the wait list , you'll only get it if they contact you then you can choose to pay for it or not. Maybe it's different where you are at? Also sometimes the sa will just sell to the first person who's willing to buy it , maybe that why you got it before them.
for me I think the bag is more durable then you would assume looking at it ( it does look very wrinkly
here's something I figured I'd share it might be useful in case you did decide to get it. I did buy two rainbow reissue One had 1 super tiny hairline scratch exposing the leather and the other had a tiny spot without coating. Both did not have leather damage. All I did was use a bit of chrome nail powder in the same shade to cover them up and it was like those defects were never there !
I'm going to try to use them as much as I can, I'm super happy to have them in my collection and I know if the coating rubbs off in some part it's easy to fix ( I used chrome nail powder, rubbed it on very gently on the missing spot, then used acrylic finisher( for leather) from angelus to seal it)

I bought them both knowing they both have tiny defects, I usually don't do this but since I knew I can fix it myself i had to get them since it's not easy to get them here , but I have no regrets!ps. i also asked the SA about sending it to chanel for repair and they said it could take a lonnnng time just to see if they CAN fix it so that was not an option .

it looks good on you! It depends on which colours you were hoping for. I prefer some with more blue or gold because those are my favourite colours but everyone is different! It sure suits you

Marmotte thanks for modeling the bag. I passed on this one. I would have went for this 10 years ago when I was big into metallic bags, but now I am leaning more towards neutrals. yes, I am getting boring.

I personally would try and find one with a more colourful flap but I must say as a whole it looks really cool!! I like e fact the leather around the clasp is multicoloured too.
