I have a dilemma. I finally found the perfect color combo from Chanel in nyc...the bag was shipped and I received it today to find the bottom has no structure. Is this normal that the bottom pushes out? I absolutely love this bag and have been searching for the perfect combo for over a month. Is there a way to fix this issue? Is this common for reissue mini’s? Thank you!!

From what I've learned, reissues don't have a lot of structure in the bottom. Apparently they were designed to be folded flat? The "lore" is that Karl Lagerfeld found the bag in a box and it was squished, so he included it in the design. This, from the reissue clubhouse: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/chanel-reissue.710696/page-90#post-32395840

The reissues are actually designed to “fold out” a little on the bottom. I’ve noticed that with most of these rainbow reissues (including mine) that while the sides fold in like traditional reissues, the bottom is much flatter and more structured. I assume it’s to do with the metallic treated goatskin being more durable than other skins used to make this bag.

your bags colorway is absolutely lovely btw

Thank you so much for the reply!! This is my first reissue, so I was a bit confused. Love this bag:) and now I feel so much better about the lack of structure:)

Hi All,
Sadly I had to return this bag due to a few hairline cracks that I found that were not acceptable to me.... but luckily I have another one on the way to me....
Hi. I am sorry to hear that. But you’ve made the correct decision to return the defective bag.

For the amount of money it costs, the bag has to be flawless. Do not settle.

I hope the coming one will be perfect in every way. Just like my dear friend @aki_sato said:it will happen for those who waits! :flowers:
Can’t wait to see your new reveal.
