Thank you!

I have been told about the plastic heel caps but I don't think I'd do well with them.
I feel that if a stiletto is not a classic point, I find them more awkward or a bit difficult to walk in.
I had the YSL opium heels and the stilettos are a flat bar. While one thinks a flat bar would provide more support than a point, it just felt really off. They were actually so uncomfortable that I ended up selling them.
I have the more recently YSL D'Orsay heels (with the open sides) and that is also a flat bar in the opposite direction of the opiums, and they too feel a bit off but are much more manageable. (Though there are occasions in which I feel like, for a moment, the heel is going to snap. lol)
It may be the way I walk or how I distribute my weight though.

Ooof, gravel! Yea, that will scuff up pretty much any shoe. 😬 I know, someday I'll find trusty heels like yours! But for now, the cheap shoes will have to do lol.
Congratulations on your daughter's upcoming wedding! :yahoo:How exciting! Have a wonderful time!!
You are right. The caps only work for round heels and only as long as they are a perfect fit for the heel. High time for somebody to invent a version that's more flexible!

The placement of the heel and its shape can make such a difference in comfort! I'm no elfin and totally walk on my heels challenging them heavily...

Thank you! I'm looking forward to DD 's big day and nervous at the same time. She put so much emotional and financial effort into the planning. Hopefully she will have a great time!

I have decided instead of avoiding the black bags, I am going to do forgotten favorites. I looked at my bag photos and saw I have a black bag that is adorable but has never been worn. So I will switch to that challenge. I am simultaneously also doing different shapes.
That’s a good idea-I only carried my navy crocodile Jimmy Choo twice last month-I will try to carry it more often in June!

Thank you ❤️
They are actually comfy!
I'm so happy I upcycled the skirt. It was useless for me. The pants will be a nice upgrade of my homewear.

How are you?
I’m fine thank you!❤️

Surprised to be missing my admirer, who is on holiday for a fortnight.
I’d resisted for a long time, as I was sexually assaulted in 2022, and swore that there would never be another man in my life..

We attended a funeral together (I’d known him as a friend for 7 years), he took me, and was very attractive in shirt and tie, we got on well, and it went from there..

I'm happy for you to have your admirer in your life! Enjoy the respectful company and the eye candy!

May stats - a little late.

Purses in or out - 0
Scarves in or out - 2 in (a lovely BdeG CSGM plisse, and a graily Le Voyage de Pytheas), 0 out.

I didn’t really participate in the challenges, but I did carry one ‘springy’ bag - the Moreau Bregancon tote.
I’ll try to do better this month!

Carried a total of 7 different bags, most carried was the Moreau tote, followed by the Tory Burch drawstring bucket.

I only read one book this month, but in my defense I’m reading that one book a second time - The Change by Kristen Miller. The first time I read it, I raced through it. The second time I’m picking up more clues. It’s about a small east coast village, and 3 very different women going through ‘the change’, but they are really changing and taking charge. A murder mystery with a very entertaining premise.

We’re just back from 10 days in Paris with our granddaughter - we had a great time - and now it’s back to works!

I’ve just received a lovely email back from Gaziano and Girling(shoemakers).

I used to only wear dress shoes-bespoke as I have tiny feet, and prefer men’s styles.
Firstly John Lobb of St James bootees in black calf, then navy Madeira calf, then I changed to Gaziano and Girling, where I was the first lady client(in 2008/9).

Dean Girling initially told me that he “didn’t make stilettoes”- I told him that wasn’t what I wanted!

I’ve had brogues in black calf, black calf boots, navy calf shoes(which is all I have left as I’ve walked through the others).

I received an email to say they’d been granted a Royal Warrant to His Majesty the King, and wrote to Tony Gaziano and Dean immediately.

They replied straightaway, thanking me for my loyal patronage, and looking forward to seeing me again soon.
It’s nice that success hasn’t gone to their heads, and that they remember their original client base!
