I can't do Dressing Diversity and Negate the Neutrals because I intentionally only have four bag designs, and all in neutral colors. But I am planning on going back on my perpetual no buy for the last six months of 2025, and I should pull out my Coach Minetta to use. I definitely use my polene bags more.JUNE “SHOPPING YOUR CLOSET” CHALLENGES
- Dressing Diversity: Wear bags that differ along a spectrum of style such as four different colors, four different shapes, four different brands, etc.
- Forgotten Favorites: Wear one of your least used bags at least twice this month
- Locked Line Up: Enjoy a month of no ins. Refrain from buying any bags or SLG’s.
- Negate the Neutrals: Help your bag rotation and ability to restyle your bags by focusing your wear on lesser used colors. Resolve not to wear bags in one of your staple colors such as black, brown or taupe for one month.

I wrote this challenge with me in mind. LOL! I’m so reliant on my black bags and need to let them rest! So we’ll be together on this one.I just looked at the challenges and I feel seen! I need to keep exploring color pops with my lesser used bags to help me further refine as I shop my current closet. The black leather brigade needs to take a rest.
I’m also doing Forgotten Favorites and one of my chosen bags for the challenge is also a Chanel CF (jumbo). I’m going to give it my best shot. Good luck! ☘️Lol, just when I've felt so good that I haven't bought a bag so far this year, and I finally see a bag that excites me, here comes the no buy challenge.I will do my best to to refrain, or at least take the time to consider for that bag.
Yesterdays the SAs were particularly friendly and chatty and got me in a very good mood (also mildly buzzed, to be transparent) but I told my husband to hold me back. And while he's often the enabler, he listened to me and held me back (thank you my dear).
Relatively easy to be diverse or not wear neutrals since I don't like to buy bags that are too similar to one another in general, so all my bags have some diversity in shape and color. And I'm the person who wears the neutrals (clothes-wise), so again, it should easy enough to hit the more colorful bags.
My challenge will be the Forgotten Favorites. I feel my least used bags, are very much my least used bags for the past 2-3 years. And I still love them when I look at them, but gosh darn, they're hard to wear! Mostly because they are my clutch and mini bags or the very eye-catching Chanel CF. But I will try!!
You were looking as stunning as ever!❤️I seen to be gravitating towards dark colours this Summer.
Sunday I met fashionable friends in town and they were wearing dark grey and black too.
I took my Paddington. I have at last found the best use for the front pocket besides a ticket - tin of lip balm

Despite the sunny Spring, I am having a hard time getting into Summer. Anyone else having the same issue?
You look great. But, yes, same issue. I have a feeling more to the general climate in NY right now. I don’t see much color on the streets. I do still see Chanel and Hermes (but in neutral colors). While neutrals are the most popular here, there used to always be an outlier in pink to signal warm weather. Not this season.I seen to be gravitating towards dark colours this Summer.

Wow! I could have written that. I wore black yesterday, mostly because it was easy and I needed something under the radar. I will push myself. Not wearing black will be very hard for me but it will instruct me on where I have usage needs not covered by lighter bags. And I do need that option for warmer months or sometimes simply for a less heavy “look.”
I caught myself as I was putting out my clothes for tomorrow because I had pulled out my black YSL camera. I am very clear that I need a light / mid toned neutral camera bag. But I’m not up to date on what’s in the marketplace. So even if I was willing to buy now, I wouldn’t have a clue what to get. We’ll see if my selection for tomorrow does the job. 😬 Fingers crossed.

I’m wearing more diverse bags due to to the season. They’re more under the radar but also fun*. Heimat Atlantica bag; Hermes knit top and jacket; sacai skirt; Birkenstock all leather arizonas.

*im normally not a charm person, but this bag came with the charm, a kind of beachy thing lol
thanks! So sorry about your sister and the lack of family pics. Love your combo and glad to see your stunning pearl braceletYou look great too!
My most recent picture(unfortunately my miserable sister took pictures of my Dad last Wednesday enjoying himself, but none of me with him, and no family pics) is a very bad selfie of me getting ready last week, in Alexander McQueen blazer, navy satin Reiss camisole and Joseph black gabardine leggings.
I carried my navy crocodile Raylowi bag(not pictured).
Your mules make me turn green with envy. They are gorgeous!
Getting cheap heels for the outdoor wedding is very sensible!
Wasn't this the great advise of the southern belle grandmother to her granddaughter in one of the Anne Rivers-Siddons novels? Buy party shoes at Tesco...
Have you considered getting the clear plastic heel caps that help avoid sinking into the grass? ( For comfort, not for cheap shoe protection.)
I've been pondering the shoe question for my daughter 's wedding on Saturday for months and meanwhile have given up on wanting to wear really special shoes.
The never worn Ferragamos I bought, the vintage TvH, even the Schutz platform sandals are back on the display shelf.... None were expensive, but they are too prescious to be ruined within a few hours. And they would be a challenge to walk in.
There's gravel in front of the church, grass outside the location and I have to drive. Watching the youngest bridesmaid being barely able to walk in her ( stunning!) platforms at the registry office wedding kind of cured me. It's no fun to hobble and stumble around.
For now my choices are my beloved and trusted 30 year old heels that have been through the trenches - on the beach, even on mountain hikes, repaired over and over and/ or satin ballroom dance shoes from the fleemarket.
Oh, what a shame your wonderful Ralph Lauren dress doesn't fit the dresscode. Hopefully there'll be another occasion to wear it, soon!
Totally! It's supposed to be summer, but the whether doesn't seem to know this. We've been having some very mixed temperature days and I always got the outfit wrong being either too cold or too hot. I'm giving up: back to black jeans and t- shirt and a coat for the mornings.I seen to be gravitating towards dark colours this Summer.
