My SA said to check online at midnight on January 1st in case anything comes up, but that corporate has told them that they aren’t making more of anything. Basically, returns will be the only hope. The limit was 10 items, and a bunch of tier 1 and 2s bought all 10 so they may very well return some. Very little was left for tier 3. Kind of unbelievable.
Would you mind sharing what country this is?

Oh thank you for letting us know - so discouraging! Especially since Tier 3 is still a LOT OF MONEY and I hate begging huge companies just to do business with them! I had hoped it would be a little easier this time!

When I went to the flagship store in Paris in 2005 for the Murakamis, I had to wait in line for over an hour, the place was packed body to body and two of us were literally tugging on the last Audra bag! It was crazy!!!

you have to be joking? so they are essentially saying that they sold off stock and come launch date there is nothing.

this just doesn't make any sense... which store do you shop with?

Their marketing and launches are so inconsistent. I try to pre order everything now, but this Murakami process is frustrating. With the Tyler pieces, most bags were sold out on pre order and my local store only got a couple of clothing items. In the past I've always had good luck getting limited edition pieces walking in to the Aria flagship store in Vegas.

Vic+ pre-ordering and resee has been standard from LV for a while. On these on capsule collections I don't think they held back stock before, pieces often sold out before launch day, but there are returns and pieces can pop up online or in boutiques.

Was like this for Supreme, Nigo, Kusama. Latest Kusama was a larger collection and many pieces sold out pre launch, but some did pop up online and in boutiques.

Here, generally, Vic+ are told its best to try order more pieces to secure items and return pieces they don't want to keep, so that often leads to pieces becoming returned and available.

Also, in the past, there was separate stock for online, then for boutiques, but I think CA's can now order from online warehouse, maybe a regional thing.

I have my doubts, but let's hope pieces are available on launch day. I don't think any CA knows, but I'm also hearing things could be different for this collection. Corporate has been clamping down on non vic orders and maybe they want the hype of lineups at their boutiques. But also being told it's sold out during pre-order but available at launch will be a bit frustrating.

This company is really testing client loyalty with the uncertainty and frustration of these pre orders and this is a longstanding problem. For Crafting Dreams, my CA kept torturing me with pictures of bags that weren't available and then trying to get me to buy totally unrelated things I had no interest in. I know they are under massive pressure to sell for those big events, but it is bad company policy to dangle items in front of clients and then tell them they are not available.

supreme was nomination only for practically everything. nigo i remember being a big headache (i totally forgot about it). but what with kusama had sold out prelaunch minus a couple of items? i swear most of the collection made it onto the website and stayed on the website and in stores for a long time.

so the online stock and the regional stock are separate from my knowledge. from what i know, the online stock is shared between the website and client services (1-866 number) and then the 1-866 number also has availability from stock that doesn't always show up on the website (which is how i got my nano speedy back in the day).

if this genuinely is the route they are going down for all three drops, the general public is not going to see a proper launch for any of the three drops because the next drop is way smaller than this one.

It is so interesting that we are getting different stories from our SA! I have been assured more will be available again before January. Hopefully that is true but I do think there will be returns as well.

It’s annoying 😒 there’s no way they would only make enough inventory for their “prestige” clients and be sold out before the drop.

I have my money set aside for a couple of pieces, but have my backup Christmas list in case they aren’t available on official drop.

Today was the closest I felt to just checking off items that have been on my list for a while instead of going with these pieces.

We will see how the exciting process dies down through the month. At this point it’s causing stress/confusion, not very “luxury”.

Also has given me tooooo much time to compare the markups for the multicolor canvas.

Idk… kinda over it.

I think some CAs don't know what is going on! Mine was shocked that my pre order was denied due to being $716 under the spending threshold.

I’m less than $1000 away from the threshold and also was denied.

I’ve basically been told good luck on Jan 1.

Hopefully we will all get something from our list of wants but I’m feeling like the magic and enchantment of this launch is dissipating and I’m not caring too much about it now.
