2023 Resolution: Shopping my Own Bags and SLG Collection

A long standing tradition in this thread is to remind ourselves of how wonderful our own collections are by showcasing them. We can see how far we have come, collection wise, and we reminded that we have all (or most of) what we need making it easier to shop our own closets.

• New theme weeks start each Sunday

• Don’t jump ahead but, if you miss a week, please do show your bags “late”.

• Show bags individually or in a group

• You do NOT have to wear the bags that week

• For added fun, show old pictures from previous years to demonstrate how you have curated it over time.

• This is completely voluntary. There is no pressure to post at any time.

So what are the showcases? In the Fall, we group our bags by makers! Feel free to show bags, small leather goods, or however it is easiest to organize!

August 13 - Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta

August 20 - Burberry, Celine

August 27 - Coach, Chanel

September 3 - Chloe, Dior

September 10 - Dooney & Bourke, Fendi

September 17 - Ferragamo, Givenchy

September 24 - Goyard, Gucci

October 1 - Hermes, Kate Spade

October 8 - Loewe, Longchamp

October 22 - Michael Kors, Miu Miu

Fun! I am going to Paris in 12 days and have a very full itinerary planned, including Galeries Lafayette! I've heard that store is fab and I even got tickets to a fashion show (photo attached with description of the fashion show). Also going to the Dior museum and YSL museum. I am very excited!

Soo jealous you get to see the Air France show. We came across this when putting together our itinerary for Paris but it finishes a few days before we arrive. Please post pictures!! We have booked to go to ‘La Galerie Dior’ too  Have a fabulous time!

I am behind, and trying to catch up on the thread.

Love your Diors, and the green lizard is absolutely stunning!
Gorgeous pink croc mini Peekaboo. All beautiful bags!

I love their all-weather-leather too, and after the discussion about rainy day bags, I have been wondering if I should get the all- weather-leather satchel from their website, to use worry free on all the rainy days here. Your bags are lovely.

I am so sorry to hear this. It must be so hard to be displaced from your house, in addition to all the expense, worry and inconvenience. My house is my little retreat, and I was quite crabby the last time I was displaced due to some repairs being done, and was so glad to be back home when they finished.

Beautiful!

Very pretty pink Fendi WOC, and your Tiffany baguette is gorgeous.

Have a great trip in Paris, and do share pics with us if possible.
Thanks!

Haven't really given it much thought as it's not an immediate plan but more longterm. I guess I was probably picturing something along the lines of a Fendi peekaboo small or LV Capucines PM or Prada monochrome saffiano small.

The bag I ordered did say "mini" but I guess the photo was deceiving bc I didn't picture it as small as it was. Overall it was pretty but lackluster.
I really like the Capucines in croc exotic colors. Haven’t seen the Prada version.

Thanks so much. The green is the perfect shade.

I am not aware of any Prada exotics, I was simply trying to think of a comparable size bag to what I would like based on your original question. I saw an LV blue ostrich someone posted a couple of months ago that was gorgeous.

It was in Design district and just visiting. Yes it was breathtaking with a price tag to match.
I knew it didn't look like the Bal Harbour store! Lol. I am sure it was pricey but likely a "bargain" compared to an H. All relative Lol

Not sure what H equivalent costs but this one was 32k.

I love this vintage bag and it appears to be in good shape. I also can't believe you spent only around $5. I can't even get a coffee from Starbucks for that!
Except for a few little scratches the bag is in perfect shape. It wasn´t even dirty, only dusty. When I picked it up and asked the price I honestly expected to hear a much higher price, but hey, sometimes one has to get lucky! It was late, people weren´t buying...

Aww, I´m so jealous! Enjoy Paris and all the great things you have planned! I didn´t manage to get tickets to Dior and YSL museum because silly me didn´t book in advance. Well, next time...
Have a great holiday!

Could y’all maybe help me figure out the name of my bag? It’s Coach 1998, made in Italy, top handle, nickel or silver square Coach New York “clasp” on the front (it has a flap)161052D3-A35A-4435-963C-449B9D244624.jpeg

Welcome to the forum! This isn't the correct thread for IDing bags. You should post your request in this thread: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads...st-any-coach-item-name-questions-here.355205/ Unfortunately I don't have any information about it. We also have a thread of catalogs you can look through to see if you can find it: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/vintage-coach-catalogs.1045341/
