So I understand that this year is going to be like last year. Those that VCA considers as a VVIP client would have already gotten the call that they are on the list. And it boils down to the SA. If they have many VVIPs, they could maybe allocate to the next level of good clients within that allocation. I’m just annoyed because VCA does not have a global system of client purchases in their criteria of allocation. But even more annoyed that many of these pendants that get allocated end up being resold almost immediately on the secondary market. Alright rant over

One of my SAs and I were talking about resellers earlier this year - to her knowledge, VCA took the reselling of HPs seriously and allegedly put those names on a list. They also let go of SAs who were knowingly selling to resellers.

I'm located in USA. It might vary from country to country.

How does VCA decide each year which colour to feature ?

I have been offered the HP many times but I have only actually purchased two -because I am WG girl.

I'm curious to see how many pop up on the resale market this time around. One of my SAs and I were talking about resellers earlier this year - to her knowledge, VCA took the reselling of HPs seriously and allegedly put those names on a list. They also let go of SAs who were knowingly selling to resellers.

I'm located in USA. It might vary from country to country.

No it’s true- my SA told me they blacklisted who knew were resellers
My sister in 2021 entered the boutique at the same time with a different lady and they both wanted the HP
The lady didn’t have a profile at all meanwhile my sister did with over $100k profile
They denied the lady the HP and gave it to my sister

if we knew their process, we would be able to accurately predict the HP year after year . I will assume only a selected few at the top of VCA are the ones to decide? I’m sure certain factors play a role, like the availability of a stone..

I loooove WG as well (even though YG/RG complement me more ).
I’m always surprised to hear others disappointment with WG .

No it’s true- my SA told me they blacklisted who knew were resellers

I think it would be difficult to blacklist a walk-in shopper for something they had in stock, but I doubt these people would be offered SO or hard-to-get items. I agree with VCA for doing this and I wish Hermes would do the same, but Hermes SAs knowingly sell to resellers or clients that post on social media then immediately resell.

I don’t shop at Hermes much (no local store) but that is terrible to hear!! Chanel is known for the same - which is why they changed so many rules over the past 2.5 years, confirmed by my SA. But some Chanel SAs simply don’t care nor face any consequences, so they continue knowingly sell to resellers .

I too would love for more to be done to stop resellers. Maybe one day! Wishful thinking .

It’s interesting…. So I asked my SA the other day if I will be allocated HP and mentioned “yes,” but unsure which batched. Also, I mentioned about the re-launched and new releases and they are strictly giving those with prespend tiers. Thanks VCA I’m a bit turned off.

2022 HP was available well into 2023, so I am sure same will happen with this year’s. Btw, 2021 HP was available well into 2022 also…

Likewise - I sincerely hope everyone who truly wants one is able to eventually purchase one.

I’ve been offered the HP in previous years (only started my collection in 2019) but last year was the first HP I said yes to. The color combo spoke to my heart in many ways!

If I am offered one this year, I will purchase it if it brings joy to my heart. I made only made one recent purchase this year, so who knows .
I’ve learned to be okay with how things unfold - will try not to get caught up in the hype!

I’ve heard the Turquoise will only be offered to VVIPs, and Rock Crystal will be sold as a set. It sounds like the quantities are extremely limited, so that would make sense?
