Quick update: I love Tod's luxurious tote but the leather is too soft for every day use so it's going back.
Thanks all for helping me resist to buy the black mini bag. I found out that the structure can't handle heavy items so I probably can resist from buying till end... I don't wish any bags would fall apart due to weight of a water bottle.... *sigh*

@Sparkletastic Good luck with your surgery and get well soon!
I am sorry to hear about the tote. That is odd that the bag would fall apart because of a water bottle. Hopefully your next purchase will thrill you .

To kick off the month and kill off this month's quota, I received a box today and inside is something I've been looking for for a long time.

I love this bag since it came out, never get a chance to try one until it's gone, but somehow think this can be the right size (which lucky me it is), and finally, after years, I finally found one in the color that I love and the exact size that I like, and in a price that's too good to miss.

So, my addition for this month, a medium size Diorissimo in raspberry. [emoji4]

(isn't it funny we just discussed that they often discontinued bags too fast and too many? [emoji16]) View attachment 4123340
So happy for you and what a beautiful color.

The first time I went into an LV boutique was the fall of 2016. LV simply hadn't been on my radar before then. DH and I were in San Francisco, and my knee had a major fail right in the middle of our trip, so I was in a world of hurt. :annoyed: I was definitely NOT looking my best! No makeup, no energy to mess with my hair, and in yoga pants because my knee was swollen too badly to get my regular pants over it.

I hobbled into the boutique, and DH (who is super-protective of me) asked whether they could bring me a chair while I looked at bags. The SA immediately rushed to accommodate us! She brought EACH of us a chair, offered us coffee, and then started showing us the bags I was interested in. She let me take all the time I needed, and in the end I left with my adorable red Capucines BB. The experience cemented my relationship with both that particular SA and LV in general.

Im sorry the tote didn’t work out. I know you’ve been looking for a while. I’ll ask the pursegods to send your tote your way!

And thanks for the surgery well wishes. It was super quick. I’m headed home with sushi and pain pills.

Every time I see this bag I want a Capucines!!!! :yahoo:I’d have to get the BB like you!!! I think the larger bag would be too much for me in this style despite how much I love them.
Well, 5 months later I had knee replacement surgery, which gave me a titanium knee. It took about a year of rehab, but now I'm now the bionic woman! :P
LOL! We have the technology. We can rebuild her!!

Thanks for all the well wishes. The surgeon is running behind so I’m in pre-op veeeeery bored!
Completely agree! This is too much money to spend and too important a bag to my collection to compromise. I’m just glad the patent will be on it’s merry way to a new home without me being terrified of fraud.

Oh! I thought reissues were single flap? Wonder why I had that idea. Mr. S is a big fan of reissues. I’m still not sold. I think it’s the wrinkles on most of them.
IKR? I’m mad at myself that I left without getting it yesterday. I’m going to hobble in on Monday and grab it.

It’s time for me to swap out wallets. I’ve been using my Gucci wallet almost every day for almost 3 years and I’m sick of it. I want to change into the Dior wallet I bought around the same time. (I never wear two wallets at the same time so I’ve never worn the Dior. It’s still new in its box.)

I don’t have a problem buying preloved bags but I can’t buy preloved wallets. They just seem dirtier without a real way to clean them effectively. And they always seem more worn. So, for the price and hassle, the discount isn’t worth it. Plus, I could make the logical arguments but...I just like having new SLG’s. [emoji38]
LOL! I only get intimidated at car dealerships. So I research to death and get armed to do battle. LOL! I hate buying cars. :whut:
Reissue is the original bag designed by Coco Chanel. It was discontinued once and reintroduced again, hence the name.
I actually love all the wrinkles though. [emoji4] I think it looks so charming and well worn with that material. [emoji4] Like a good pair of old jeans. [emoji16]

I don't buy or use my wallet second hand, too. I have no problem with anything else. Clothes, bags, books, they're OK for me. Wallet is one thing I refuse to buy used. I don't know why. Just no.

There was a phase when I was really into makeup and even made friend with a BA at one of my favorite brands. She's the only one that make me feel easy enough to drop by very often like at least once a month. She quit her job long time ago and I never have such relationship with any BA again. Not even with one of my usual clothing shop where I buy regularly.

My mom is a polar opposite. She can make friend with any vendors and always get discount or freebies without asking. No wonder who get stuff at the cheapest price if we did a competition. (we did it a couple of times to prove the point.) [emoji14]

:woot: OOOOOOOH!!!!!! I love this bag!!!!
I have no idea why Dior discontinued it. It surely could have stayed a few more years. CONGRATS, vink!!!!
Thanks!
I can understand they can be tired of the requests but it’s their job to respond, serve and sell. I started my career in sales and have managed sales people. Anything less than warm, helpful and enthusiastic service is completely unacceptable in a salesperson. No excuses. It’s like saying a chef gets tired of cooking the same thing on the menu or a mechanic gets tired of servicing the same car. Customer service is their job.
Thanks! Me too! I’m so tired of this.
Thanks! It's pure luck in this case, I think. [emoji4] Everything is just right, the size, the color, and the price, not to mention the moment it showed up. I'm very happy, too! [emoji16]
