Just cleaned out my wardrobe last weekend as I am losing my vision due to an autoimmune disease. Who knew that it would be a great motivator to finally tackle my closets! I gave away 10 giant trash bags of clothes shoes and bags. I will really have to shop my closet now!
I'm so sorry to hear about your vision. That's really sad.

It means that I'm usually "just not that into" black leather vs other lovely neutrals that I'm drawn to so much more. I love navy, taupe, tan and beige so much, and pale metallic gold. Even dark brown, grey, ivory, cream, white...Are all just so appealing that I can't usually bring myself to choose black when I'm selecting a color for luscious leather. Also I feel like you can't admire the grain of the leather as well in black, that all black leather looks very similar, regardless of quality. But in lighter neutrals I feel that really nice leather can really shine and show off without being lost in the color black.
The delices was there in black and beige and I totally wanted the beige. Plus the beige was only $350!!!! I mean holy smokes Batman. Wonderful price.

That said, of course black is the ultimate neutral matching most of my shoes and pants. If I had a black bag that I loved......Hmmmm...... Definitely food for thought!

I spent years saying “No black bags, black bags are boring!” Never say never, because the last three bags I bought were all black! Honestly, I think there’s room for both. But if you get a black bag, make sure you love it!

It's a cycle for me too when it comes to black bags. About 2 or 3 years ago I got tired of black and rid myself of most of my blacks. Then I enjoyed colors. Then after a few months, I felt my collection was not complete because I didn't have much black options. I realized I needed black bags especially for business setting. So slowly I built them up again. But this time very mindful of what I added. Now I am at peace, though I may want to rehome 1 or 2. (And there are 2 in the consignment shop that has not sold since April.) Again, slowly, I'm itching for more colors since I also have the other neutrals - grey, beige-y, cream, taupe and blue. I want hot pink and yellow.

Dang it, why isn't it 2017? I flew into Logan and spent six weeks in new England this time last year. Boston is my favorite place in the US and the last place in America I lived. I would love to move back to Charles St in the back bay this instant.

What a small world! I’m actually in Cambridge, not Boston proper, but I take the T through Charles Street station several times a week. I can’t beileve we were neighbors at one point! If you find your way here again, definitely let me know! :hugs:

I was spending some days in Cambridge last summer; my college girlfriend (we went to Smith) is a native from there and lives there still and we were at her home before we went up the coast to share a beach house with our kids. I love Cambridge! But the back bay most of all. I am not in Boston often. Sob.
