Hi Cats!I don’t live in a car town! I’m in a city, so yes, there are cars (and we own one), but I go almost everywhere by walking and using public transportation. By folding cart, do you mean one of those wire carts with wheels? Because I have seriously thought about getting one of those — not for my handbag or tote bag, but for groceries. My food shopping is a bit European in style, so I’m picking up stuff every other day or so. Sometimes it gets heavy! I haven’t gotten one yet, but sometimes it feels inevitable....
Wanna see your Polene!![]()
WAIT! WHAT!!! We neeeeed photos!!! Whatcha think?
Pics please!![]()
Omigosh, where are the photos?? I love the Numero Un! I don't think I'll ever get it as the top handle is just a smidge too short, but I love the look of it so much.
Pics!!!!!!!!!
ahhahaaa!!This is HUGE news. The Polene is becoming the insiders' hot ticket. I wanna see too!
Hi Cats!
I KNOOOOW!!! I've shopped that way, too... Forever!!! But I've noticed on leisurely shopping days (though few & far-between), I end up with a ton of foldable shopping totes, becoming a pack camel!!! I passed one in the store yesterday, which is very light and compact (but you'd still have to '''carry" it, so no stashing...), and considered it for a while. I just didn't think I'd actually 'go out' with it. Though, IF I did, my back and alignment would be much better for it!!! (This all started midday yesterday when I saw that cooler tote, which I've also lived without for this long here!!!)
So originally I thought, ok MAYBE I need this tiny folding lightweight cart for heavy liquids/groceries (or the cooler bag)... then I put my actual groceries in it-- because my actual cart had my giant tote bag in it!!! Then I thought airport...
(also I always carry a roller-suitcase carry-on, even for very short trips now, because airport gates are SO FAR AWAY and the tiniest bag begins to feel a ton... so this MAY be a better solution!!! Heeelp!!!!)
I'll post a screenshot-

Let me ask you all-- shouldn't bag 'sentiment' and 'joy of memories' then count for something? To up the practical -application percentage of the bag itself? So for instance if the bag itself is day, 75% , but you love love love it and it makes you happy for the reasons mentioned, wouldn't that increase it to at least 90/95%?
Me too. I wonder what it is about it he doesn't like. Unless it's just the simplicity of it 'not looking like...'
These are GORGEOUS!!!
Is the top one black, or very very dark green?! I can't tell in my lighting-
BTW - I was seen at the ophthalmic surgeon’s office today. My surgery is delayed to Thursday.I have 4 eye drops and a pirate worthy eye patch. I’m really super grumpy and refusing to go anywhere other than the hotel gym (who cares if I scare small people in the hallways!) and external sources of food. My eye has double vision, is blood red and hurts like the dickens. Shouldn’t this be emergency surgery??? Argh!
I am sooooo “allowing” Mr. S to treat me with a surgery recovery bag following these surgeries.
I just need both eyes to effectively pick it out!![]()
i like this.
The plugs reminds me of the ones you can put in the crocs for kids! Haha, but these ones are for adults. Or the upscale version of the LD now, where you can put those pins in the strap.
I think sentiment does count for a lot. I suppose it varies for everyone. I'm not too sentimental about things that I bought myself, but with gifts, I do tend to be. My mother isn't sentimental at all, and when I was growing up, I used to buy her costume jewelry because that was all a schoolgirl could afford. Just things like long beaded necklaces or pendants. She never wore any of it and gave most of it away. Part of me is still pissed about that even though I know I shouldn't be. So even though I'm not sentimental about most things (l cleared out my wedding stuff, old furniture, baby stuff), I tend to keep gifts that involve some kind of thoughtfulness on the part of the giver.

As a fellow scleral-buckler (retina detachment runs in my family, and so does cataracts, lovely!), I wish you nothing but the smoothest of surgeries and lots of entertainment while you're lying down in a dark room with a bandaged eye. Resist the temptation to come online! Rest that eye. We'll be still here, don't worry![]()
Are they meant to be worn with out socks? If so does the foot get sweaty in them?Yeah... maybe. But you can’t change the plug. It’s part of the design and mechanic that will help with cushion. You have to find your own combo. [emoji16]

The size of this bag is just perfect on you! I saw it on ebay(right?) and was so unsure of the color, but obviously it's wonderful. Would you call it a bluish green? vs dark green?Polene pics!

She is new to me, and well taken care of by the previous owner. Leather is on the heavy side, thick and chewy. It maintains its shape whether the front is snapped or not. I have not had any trouble snapping it either. There is a small pocket on the back, would be good for flat things like tickets, tissues, etc.

Snapped and unsnapped - it is definitely easier to get into with the snaps undone. When snapped I have to pull it open a little further - not really an issue but an FYI. It’s lined in a dark green cotton fabric, has a zipper pocket and 2 open pockets in front of it - one of those open pockets is large enough for my iPhone 8. It is on the larger side of medium for me - I have plenty of room for a full size wallet, checkbook, small cosmetic bag, sunglasses, Epi-pen and keys. I could get much more in it.

It’s a good size for me - doesn’t look too big or too small. I have the strap on the shortest length in this picture (I am 6’ tall) so... that’s a longish strap. But when I adjust the strap to it’s longest length - it’s not long enough for me to work as a crossbody.
I’m going to carry it today to Conner Prairie with my GD and I’ll let you know how it goes.
