Not to enable you or anything, but speaking of pink bags, did you see the review of the pink Ferragamo bag on the Purse Blog this morning? Pink with silver hardware... I have to admit, I was intrigued!
If I didn't live in the back of beyond, and there was any way I could get to a Ferragamo boutique without making it an all-day project, then I'd be checking it out this weekend.
But I do.
And there isn't.
So I won't. :annoyed:
That is a cute bag. I’m not usually a fan of Ferragamo but I really like that bag!!!
Getting very close to be done with this revamping thing. Still trying to get rid of a few bags that I don't use often but it is not mandatory as I like what's left.
Yay! You’ve been working on this a while. I’m glad you are in a good - almost finished - place!
Does this bag look odd with my hair color and skin tone?
I don’t think so. I think (the right shades of) red looks great on redheads. Cute!

I love your KS Agenda, it’s a beautiful red! I am a paper gal - I use a Leuchtturm notebook to bullet journal (calendar, to do lists, journaling, etc). My current notebook is gold.

Great boots and what a steal! I have a pair of Frye Melissa Button tall black boots that I love.

Great scarf mail, pretty picture! I hope you’re on the mend.

I’m a paper person too. Although my appointments are in my iPhone calendar, I also keep a bullet journal. Love the Leuchtturm notebooks! I used to use Moleskines, but now I really prefer the Leuchtturm ones, because they are slightly wider and have two bookmarks.

Do any of you ever feel silly about having to talk yourself through bag purchases. I don’t have this irrationality in any other category (except maybe books and the worst thing there is I end up with something for $8 that I just easily give away.) I like jewelry more than bags but am always pretty thoughtful about what I buy. And, oddly, participating in a jewelry forum would be boring to me. I almost never go to the jewelry section of TPF.

I tell myself this is my hobby so no big deal. It’s like being a car nut or oenophile. But, some times I really think - Spark, what is the deal with you and handbags???? :whut:

Yes, I am totally like this, even down to liking jewelry but almost never going on the jewelry forum! IDK what it is about handbags, but they’ve been my “thing” forever. I used to be pretty jewelry obsessed, and even worked in a jewelry store in college, but I never made the leap to designers like Cartier and VCA, the way I made the leap to Chanel and Hermes with bags. Not sure why, but David Yurman, Ippolita and Tiffany silver is fine with me. Maybe it’s the combination of form and function that bags offer, making them a unique challenge. Jewelry, OTOH, is pure adornment (not that there’s anything wrong with that!). Same with scarves — I love them, but don’t obsess like I do with bags!

I’m having a hard time deciding which bags to take on my upcoming trip. It will be rainy per forecast. I have my trusty Longchamps, but I really would have wanted to carry something else. I was eyeing the Proenza tote as it is lightweight, but since it’s nubuck then NO! I’ve decided against the Massaccesi midi Angel because of weight. Normally when we leave the (Airbnb) apartment in the morning, we come back already in the evening. So lightweight is important. Plus the bag should be big enough for a jacket/sweater. I think I will end up with my Longchamps...No issue really except that every trip my bag photos are the same. [emoji18]
Ha Ha. Me, too. I always take my trusty low-key Kipling on my trips. Only the Japan trip that I took my Chanel WOC.
I have this feeling, too, so my Singapore trip this July is quite a struggle, too. I want to take my Chanel or something on the higher end and probably some other bags for change, but the family friends will tag along and I don't want them getting wrong impression. I'll think about this later, though. [emoji4]

I still prefer agendas. I tell people I have to check y agenda at home before I can commit to something. It helps when they are standing next to me and it’s not something I want to do. Also if my phone got stolen or lost I would not loose all my appointments.
I like my agenda, too. I prefer to put them in on writing. It's a comfort for me.

I'm doing a bullet journal, too! Never know that's what it's called until one day I stubble on a YouTube video then voila! What I have been doing for years actually have a name. [emoji4]

Thank you! And - get well soon, Elaine and Sparkle! [emoji253]

I think, I have to elaborate on that. I am already two bags in, this year, but the itch is strong. I am lacking green, blue and multi-colour in my collection. A lot of my bags are excellent for work, big enough for sheets of paper. So, I could do something on the smaller side, for weekends and more casual outings. This Kate Spade was on my list - which is somehow sad now - but I would get a lot more all year round use from the Coach Parker. And I am lusting for these BV bags but have to wait for the day they might become available... at a good price... To sum up: I would love to find something new but do not want to spend a four digit sum at the moment. The Parker ticks all the boxes but I am confused nevertheless. We are going to an open air concert on Saturday, this would be a perfect occasion to wear it. I will see. Scroll down for pictures!

Just need to vent and would love to hear thoughts on how you deal.. I am super happy about a bag purchase for about 2-3 weeks, then it starts to wane and in a month or so I'm craving a new bag... but doing my best to just divert my attention.

In honor of Kate Spade, let’s make this week’s “challenge” to wear KS bags / SLG’s etc. theoigh Sunday if we own them. If we don’t own them but did in the past, feel free to share stories or old pictures of your bags.

Kate Spade used to be one of my favorites brands. I loved the feminine style. I still remember when her bags were mostly nylon. They seemed so expensive to me at the time. So I just admired from afar.

Once I started upgrading my bags I took the plunge. I didn’t get nylon but I bought several leather and straw bags. I was particularly crazy about her bags with bows.

These three bags were the ones that were hardest to let go.

I still love bows and anything else girly. So the first two bags were much loved. The black one was a surprisingly great workhorse. I wore it sooooo often for work View attachment 4090315View attachment 4090316
I recently sold my last KS bag. I think it’s adorable but it wasn’t exactly what I wanted. I still am on the hunt for it’s replacement.View attachment 4090317
What are your favorite KS bags or memories?

Been using this tote a lot recently (to the left). It was a graduation gift from college. Came in handy when I had job interviews and needed to store papers, folders, files, etc. Also fits my laptop perfectly so it’s my designated computer bag.

Although it’s the only Kate Spade bag I own (have some jewelry as well), I find her distinct whimsical style so refreshing, youthful, and classic. If I were in high school even early college I probably would have purchased more purses of hers. My younger cousin in high school along with her friends adore her brand. It’s a shame such a brilliant and creative mind felt so much pain that this ending was the only solution.
