I have that, too, even though I already try to be careful. Mistake is so expensive for me. But sometimes, I also know that if I don’t try, I’m not going to get to learn or know anything, so I do give it a try, selectively. Sometimes, I do go overboard though. My Valerie (s) are coming. It’s the biggest order I place sight unseen. If I don’t love them. I don’t know yet what I’m going to do with them, but surely someone else will be very happy. [emoji28] I do hope I’ll be very happy though. And yes, now that I know a bit more on what works and what not for myself, I said no to lots of sales, too.

I do have one leather on my list for a long time and still cannot match it with any model yet (port Merino) and one model that I cannot match with any leather yet (Zhoe Legend), and both won’t go well together so I’m going to wait and see how this will fare out. Maybe one day, I’ll find something that can go with each of them. Or not at all. But I’m willing to wait. [emoji4]

Right now, Selene and Selene midi are my safe models, but I think I’m done with them for a while. Lucky me, my favorite leather are Verona and Aquila matte and those are limited leather. I already blew my quota with Valerie. I hope they don’t disappoint me much.

I’m planning to get a port merinos Modena eventually. But in no hurry. Maybe if there is a really good sale.

That Chanel tote that got away is really beautiful! But if you want some consolation, i think the corners would wear quite fast.

It's quite the fashion here to be wearing casual dresses paired with sneakers, although more so with the younger generation. How about there?

Thank goodness for this. I have a really bad flare up of plantar fasciitis from wearing sandals all the time. So i just bought two pairs of pull-on Nike sneakers. They’re made of a knit so you don’t need socks and the arch support and heel cushioning is wonderful. They look like this:

And now I am on the mend, thanks to my great surgeon and most of all my wonderful DH, who has been keeping me well nourished and taking me on neighborhood walks to get my strength back.

No interesting bag news to report, since I haven't been going anyplace that requires a handbag! My first "real" outing will be back to the surgeon's office next Thursday. After he gives me his blessing, I'll be able to drive again and that will REALLY feel great.

In the meantime, I can recommend the book "The Last Painting of Sara de Vos" by Dominic Smith and, for David Balducci fans, the entire King & Maxwell series (but it's best to read them in order). Also "The Children Act" by Ian McEwan is quite a tense novel, but he's a great writer.

Probably. I’m afraid I’m going to ruin that Chanel tote, too coz it’s just so super soft and it’s lamb. I’m not hard on my bags, but I don’t baby them all the time, too. Yeah... you’re probably right. [emoji848] Then, I’d be even sadder coz it’s so freaking expensive. [emoji28]

I love this kind of sneakers, too. Right now, I swear by adidas NMD2 prime knit. Super comfortable. I wear it everywhere and seriously I just don’t care. [emoji16] I tore my ankle tendon from the sprains last year and I don’t have the heart to care anymore. That built-in socks hug my feet nicely and very comfortable and give great support. I love mine. [emoji4]

There is a seasonal fashion slant with saleability of colours. I think good condition proper (non-salmon) pinks and reds always sell really well. mid-darker browns tend to hang around whatever the weather. I like brown, I think it's a fashion thing.

I am starting to like brown more again. I even picked up this drawstring that is made by a small company in Cleveland,Ohio yesterday! They come once a year to a great artisan fair so I can pick the one with the hyde I like best.

not sure if they are funny, but i definitely had a great time, and hope, so did my Cabat, we visited BV exhibition in Dubai mall yesterday, where lots of iconic pieces from 2000 till today from Italian museum were shown
mine is black, green is the very first one made in this model (Marcapunto) and her plate does not have an ID number
twin of mine was shown there as well
i tried to weave a Cabat myself!!!

Hah... yes! Though he's always been a nice guy, he was never spoiled as a kid, and we were both "older" when we got married, so he never thought (for example) that dirty clothes could be left on the floor, and they would get up and walk to the hamper on their own, and then wash themselves!

Fascinating to see how much work goes into weaving a BV bag. It looks as though you need to have ten fingers on each hand!

i would guess 4 hands probably are more handy too many straps, all tend to unweave, hard to hold them in place

It is a beautiful bag. If you’re not ready, you’re not ready - nothing silly about that. I have a bag I got two consignment quotes for that I am also not ready to let go. I understand. You will know when you are ready.
